I sold Kias back in 07 and 08 when they were just transitioning from their "car you buy when you can't afford anything better" phase to their "you are getting a lot of car for the dollar" phase. Then they upped their styling and now they are swinging above their weight and going after the big guys for performance. Stinger gave the 3 series a kick in the butt and now they are taking aim at the supercars. The point of the ad wasn't to have EV6 beat the McLaren, it was to show a Kia more than holding its own against that pack - a car that could be an affordable daily driver to boot! Great work, Kia!

This 1/4 mile (400m) drag race is not an apple-to-apple comparison. EVs generally have better acceleration performance than gas cars. I would like to see the drag racing results between the KIA EV6 GT and other EVs, not the comparison between the KIA EV6 GT and gas cars. The only advantage of KIA cars is those are affordable!!!
Agreed. First thing I thought was Tesla Model 3 beating out supercars too.. I'd like to see an apples to apples comparison of EVs... there's enough on the market now that there's really no excuse for companies to run these unscientific, biased stunts.

I love the design, but The handles are very uncomfortable. You have to twist your hand in an unnatural angle or use your pinkie to press the handle (passenger seat, right hand) to open the door!
It says that Kia are just behind McLaren in performance, but more importantly Kia beats ferrari, lambo, porsche, mercedes. They have come a long way to make that happen. It's an honest test among the world elite supercars. And Kia in the mix? I never saw that coming lol
