i watched her when she sang with Damien Rice, I fell in love with her voice then. I'm so glad ( even though I love Damien Rice) that she went out on her own. She has an amazing voice! I get chills just listening to her!

What a breath of fresh air - how did this ever go under my radar?;) the much older Suzanne Vega's Gypsy meets the newer Owl City's Fireflies? All delicate, playful narratives tinged with darkness. Saw Lisa live a few years back supporting Snow Patrol at Ward Park and got much more of a country impression. This is crossover and original.
This is one of my favorite videos. So beautiful...and the story books make it much more clear just what this song is about. Hopefully, when I will be drowning from life's currents, someone will reach out and pull me into their boat. And the sun will appear...
Oh, and seeing as I made no actual comment about the song or video itself, I thought I should say this: This is beauty. Every last second of this just drips with charm and wonder. The arrangement of the music, the instrumentation, the vocals (I'm so in love with your voice), the lyrics, the concept of the video, your presentation of the books, and of course the books themselves. Absolutely wonderful! The fact that only 32,000 have seen this here is a shame. The world needs THIS.

I've just been uploading all my old CDs out of the loft to my laptop. Came across Damien Rice's O album and remembered liking the female vocalist. Googled Lisa whilst i was waiting for the album to upload; pleased to find she's got a solo career! Now i'm here! Well worth calling in sick today :)
First video I saw of Lisa. Now I think I've seen all of them but still come back to this one. She is such a great singer and performer. Would love to see her in concert. Would love to have that book. Fantastic!!!
It always makes me smile when I'm singing it even if I'm not necessarily [smiling] at the beginning, I am at the end. And it was the first song I wrote when I left the band. Hannigan was abruptly fired from Rice's band about 10 minutes before a show. But she says it was a long time coming We'd worked together for seven years, she says. So it was a long enough time to be working with anyone. And I think it had just come to the end of its natural life, really.
Beautiful song, wonderful video. Saw her perform this at NBC10 in Philly and then realized she was the voice/singer in the amazing movie Song of the Sea
