This is why I listen to Marty Friedman...you are just sitting there listening then within a moment, you're holding back tears, forgetting everything except the feeling that these melodies evoke..
It's "Warmth in the Wilderness", a tribute dubble CD for Jason Becker. Marty is on the first CD, 5th song, out of my memory. For the rest: Google is your friend
Marty and Dave both played 10-52s. Definitely a great set. I need them just because I play down a step at D standard. I do miss these guys together. What Jason could have done in these last years...
this is so beautiful. marty, you're an amazing guy for this song and jason, keep hope alive. you;re an inspiration to us all to keep doing what we love even through the hard times and that we all will get thru it Love ya, bro. you will get thru this rock on
una de las canciones más hermosas que pueden existir, la escucho desde que la subiste...tantos años han pasado desde que la escuche por primera vez, que nostalgia, tantos recuerdos
So good mates, so good. Marty made me switch to 10 - 52 strings in 1992, and Jason made my head explodddd and my fingers bleeeeed with marty strings. Still playing and still listening to you, mates...
II.- As I'm standing here you will never know Just how much strength I feel from you And we will walk for you, we will talk for you We can feel your heart everywhere we go We're living in a time of hope and shattered dreams You've made us realize how precious life can be As I'm standing here you will never know Just how much strength I feel from you Well I'm standing here so free to move And what I want the most is to free you..."
omfg.... this is one of the most beautiful songs I'm ever heard. Ever. And I've heard thousands and thousands..... The first time I listened through this song, I thought it was very cool & very pretty. (GREAT simple vocal composition! Her voice is lovely =). Then I listened to it, as I had another tab open, reading Jason's Wikipedia page... and I bawled. Marty... I love your music. All of it. Peace, Happy Thanksgiving... and thank you.
very nice to hear something like that :)) keep it on. I play guitar for 10 month now, but they are my biggest inspiration along with paul gilbert. their music has done magic to my mind. now I know I have to play guitar so I can make beautifull music like this
Some of Marty's fans might speak bad English, A. Because we are so busy rocking out, we don't feel like grammatically typing out everything perfectly. B. Marty has a huge impact in Europe and Asia, especially Japan. See like Justin Bieber only has fans from America. Marty has fans all over the world. Merry Christmas
I've found it, Suchar, please put the lyrics in the description: I.- "Well I'm standing here, so free to move And what I want the most is to free you Well I'm scared and weak, compared to you You have the power and the will of a thousand men Cause you are the brightest star of all Every night that you're here You are the brightest star of all Through the clouds the rain and the tears And you must, hold on
everybody needs that devotion from another human being. satch and vai, becker and friedman.... I have Darren Lee Wicks. We eat sleep and breathe the same music, diet, exercise routine, career, loves and hates etc. It would be gut-wrenching if something happened to him, but i'd be there always. and hopefully I could make something as beautiful as this as a tribute to him and show him the love undisputed I have for him.
Leave the guy alone, stop arguing, if he doesnt like it, then accept it, thats what commenting its all bout, not everyone is gonna like it.I started reading the comments and I can clearly see u aint gonna change his mind, but he does have a point and you guys have to accept it, coz u know it.By the way Im a big Jason Becker fan.
@MoonMoney1 In case you arn't trolling there is emotion in Jason's playing. Listen to "river of longing", "blue", the melody line to altitudes, and pretty much almost anything he made when he was paralysed. If you look at some 1990 interviews with him on his website, after joining david lee roths band, he got less into shred and more into world music/bluesy stuff. However, your description of convoluted garbage perfectly suits yngwie malmsteen with his psuedoclassical noodling.
@MoonMoney1 No i never said he's automatically good because he has ALS!!! He's doing what he loves regardless the physical state he's in. He's composing great classical music for ballets, he's writing his usual rock music, and he has it all trapped in his mind ready to write. Even if he didn't have ALS he'd still be a great composer. I like Frusciante but he can't compare to Becker. He's better in your opinion but if you asked any true musician unlike yourself they'd choose Becker.
@Superguitarplayer90 I don't see how shredding all the time qualifies as good music. It's like saying the movie with the most complex/hard-to-follow plot makes it the best movie of all time.

The best duo there is and forever will be
Marty Friedman
Jason Becker
no descansare hasta conocer a mi inspiración marty y el maestro de maestros Jason..
There are no words to describe how awsome this tune is.

Jason aunq nunca más toque una guitarra por siempre será el mejor de todos
@Superguitarplayer90 Hendrix, Frusicante and Richards: Those are guitarists with a nice tone.

@MoonMoney1 so if you don't like jason becker what kind of music do you like
I think this song is dedicated to Jason Becker
@MoonMoney1 what's your favorite metallica song
but lets not forget he is still alive. I'm sure he wouldn't everyone to be thinking of him in a sad way.
the song is by marty friedman
marty + jason = god
@Superguitarplayer90 Greatest metal band ever.

gracias :)
@MoonMoney1 yeah, i like his master of puppets riff
@MoonMoney1 hendrix hell yeah he's the reason i started playing guitar, i dont know who frusicante of richards is.
@MoonMoney1 what about dimebag darrell
😢
its from the tribute CD to jason becker
somebody have the lyrics ??
@MoonMoney1 No i never said he's automatically good because he has ALS!!! He's doing what he loves regardless the physical state he's in. @MoonMoney1 Well, I'd consider emotion in music to be subjective, whereas technical skill can be measured objectively.
@MoonMoney1 so that picture on your profile is that what you really look like
@pattttttrick That's a massive generalization. "All mainstream is bad, all non-mainstream is automatically good." LOL!
@Superguitarplayer90 Whose personality?
@93thrasher Several hours and I spend more listening to music. How many hours a day do you practice English?
@MoonMoney1 hell yes
hey' looks like Moonmoney and superguitarplayer fell in love..
anyway. this song is so good. marty's solo is beautiful.
Why search tags have John Petrucci ? :P
Does anyone have a link to the photo?
I can't find it.
@Morenumbers123456789 What is "jealus"?
@MoonMoney1 yeah, i wonder how they would've turned out if dave mustain wasn't fired
oh marty :'(
@Morenumbers123456789 What does "grammatic" mean?
Totally agree XD
@Superguitarplayer90 Yep.
@MoonMoney1 No, but I do indeed use her to comparisons quite often.
@Superguitarplayer90 It's totally cool.
@MoonMoney1 well i guess i can't argue with that
Plase, can someone write the lyrics?
@RiceKiller191 Yeah, like how they both can't move, lol.
donde puedo conseguir la letra de esa cancion?
someone knows where i can find the lyrics?
@MoonMoney1 what about pink floyd
@pattttttrick You implied it.
@Shewolfen yeaaa =(
@Superguitarplayer90 Frusciante - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Richards - The Rolling Stones
@MoonMoney1 how old are you
@cerelilqt I think emotion is subjective.
@MoonMoney1 just wondering
@Superguitarplayer90 I don't see how shredding all the time qualifies as good music. It's like saying the movie with the most complex/hard-to-follow plot makes it the best movie of all time.
@Superguitarplayer90 That's not me.
@MoonMoney1 that's pretty cruel and not cool at all. How do you make friends?
@Morenumbers123456789 Nope, see his review scores for Cacophony and his album with DLR.
