What a time to be alive and have had the privilege of watching this whole series live as it aired. Nothing else like it.
Man the scene of that guy trying to reconnect with his old flame but having to protect his masculinity / heterosexuality in a roomful of people was strong.
Such a shame that they took 3 years in between seasons. I feel like by the time seasons 3 and 4 came out, which pretty much came out back to back, a lot of people have just forgotten about this masterpiece. I'm one of them lol. You just reminded me that I haven't finished the show. Thank you, sir.
theyre both great seasons too! flew a bit under the radar but Atlanta really turned out one of the best shows of the last 10 years all things said and done.
@@jm6406 I agree. I spent 3 years thinking the show was just not going to come back because everyone in it got super famous during that time and had other projects going on, but they proved me wrong. I only found out about the new seasons a week or so after they dropped and now I gotta go finish it. Is season 4 the last season?
When Darius opens the wing box and the soft glow of the lemon pepper wings lit up his face...he almost cried...that was when i knew this show was something Special. With a capital S.

Atlanta truly is a Creative Tour de Force by Donald Glover.
When I originally saw this shows trailer I thought it looked like Just the story of Donald Glover trying to make it big in the Rap Game as he Manages his Flamboyany Cousin Paper Boi,and I didn't look or think the show would be anything beyond that and I didn't ask for it to be anything beyond what i saw.
But then so many moments end turning this into the most Well Written,mind boggling Deep and blackest show I've ever seen since maybe the Wire or the Boondocks.

I was hoping yall would watch this at some point. One of my favorite series. Yall in for some hilarious stuff with this one 😂. And i agree Jimmy, Zazie Beetz is fine as hell.

Do I want to contribute to over half the comments being drooling over Zazie Beetz? ...I can't not. She is a fantastic actress and astonishingly hot. I feel like she's not getting roles she deserves for some reason.
SO glad yer checking out this winner of a series! When this first came out in 2016 I was so enthused, it was so fresh. By the end of the first season I was like, that was a f**king privilege to watch. It's been so great over the years watching cast-mates going on to bigger things, much less get the accolades they actually deserve. Even when Darius (the goat) was in that Girl with the Dragon Tattoo reboot, he was one of the few stand-out/good things in it.
Btw, my lawyers have told me that since I watched this when it came out it supersedes any part by you to have any kinda crush on Zazie Beetz, I saw her first. 😂😂😂 But seriously, she is really great at her craft. Like, effortlessly great.
I am so glad yall are watching Atlanta. It doesn't get as much credit as it deserves.

You guys are going to love this show - smart, funny, deep, wild
I love Entourage, but I don't see this being in the same world of comedy. Atlanta is surreal and semi-serious; it's hilarious because the characters get into bizarre situations. Entourage is laugh-a-minute dialogue, and especially great insult humor. But it's very clear there are no stakes in Entourage, it's all just a ride. Atlanta is very weighty.
Love this show! Looking forward to the episode at the club…

Man, I just cannot believe and am absolutely sitting here floored that you never watched Atlanta. I think each season is a masterwork (yes even Eurotour) but Robbin' Season is the best, can't wait for you to get there.

Funny, I recognize all 4 actors you recognized, from the same places - except that OBVIOUSLY Glover came up from _Community_ and it's insane you still haven't seen that :P - and I love em, yet somehow Bryan Tyree Henry (Paper Boi) might give the best performance on the show overall.
