As a free to play player, I dunno how much I like twist because you need the legendaries to access the decks.
As a free to play player you probably don't like Hearthstone because you need meta decks in standard, wild, or twist. 1 card or 30/40. Plus in twist they gave you 6(?) free decks.

Taking mirror matches into account, those numbers mean that Arfus has an 80.7% winrate against the other decks... That's just absurd

if they want to keep this long-term, they could open it up to deckbuilding but with a pretty restricted format, the issue is that it's a lot of work for a format like this but it's a question of wether they want to commit to it or have it as a one-off fun little event

I've beat Arfus with C'Thun, Brann, and Kael'thas. I've always lost to Xyrella. I feel like healing yourself to 60 is easier than dealing 30.
Edit: Yes I know hitting Xyrella slows down the win condition. But they have so much lifesteal feels like every time I clear the board they fill it with lifesteal again.
Brother xyrella sits in the middle of the list by winrate, arfus is the most played and has a comical 73% winrate. Just wait until you get out of gold
@@elysiumfalls4 Wow it finally happened. A hearthstone player talked like their rank made them better than me lmao. Do you play Hearthstone SERIOUSLY? Also winrate doesn't matter if you are good enough in your gameplay against a specific class. Same way some players do better against mages but not warlocks or something. So if I can go 6:0 against arfus, I think it's a skill issue, AND an issue of trying too hard kek.
@@h4dy3n78I mean, that’s very correlation ≠ causation. If Arfus is MASSIVELY positive winrate at EVERY rank, it’d be much more of a statistical anomaly that he’s bad than that he’s good and you just went against 6 people who weren’t great at him, or who drew shit
@@crafternautsunite6846 Or I've discovered a reliable pattern to counter Arfus. Excacate and discounts are great, I'm not saying Arfus isn't good in general as you'll see in my original comment. However with characters like C'Thun you can get good at timing and pacing, so that you reach the power you need to defeat Arfus. The main problem is getting to the right power level at the right point of the game. Kael'Thas is truly mostly luck I won't lie. Brann however seems to be the most consistent because his battle cries are so good! Especially by turn six. I understand what you are saying I might be getting lucky, I've used a logical fallacy of player experience to back me up, but you also have to appreciate that when there is a meta in a game, there is always a way to play counter meta, and that Arfus isn't an exception. The reason I pointed out how much I had beat Arfus wasn't to slight the winrate either, it was to slight ely's comment after trying to call me bad lol.
@@crafternautsunite6846 Unfortunately my comment deleted the short story is there's always a way to play countermeta. You aren't completely wrong, but I didn't even originally say Arfus is bad he's just not as broken in my eyes as Xyrella because my playstyle is not good against Xyrella players. The reason I commented that I had won so many times against Arfus at all was to slight comments like those made by ely. I was enjoying myself, having a laugh, and debating making a reddit account just to post this hilarious arguement with a couple ss of me winning/ losing against Arfus.

The word is out. Its all Arfus spam already. Blizz will enjoy nerfing it after everyone has crafted it.
I loved Arfus but I could see it's too strong. They could nerf the static by making the excavate random instead of common, rare, epic, legendary in order. They could also nerf the static by making it swap frost to unholy to blood as it is but you only excavate after you've swapped the static twice. Like cast a frost swap cast an unholy to get an excavate, then cast a blood the a frost to excavate, etc. Also maybe lessen the hero power to spend 2 corpses. 1 mana to take 3 mana off cards in hand almost every turn after turn 4 is too strong.
Rarran healing himself when he doesn't even need it, instead of his injured minions is so tilting!
