Morelos should have been sold off long ago. He's a fat, slow, lazy malcontent. Yes, he's got a bit of quality and skill. He's also got two extra stone he's lugging about. He's never in the box during the run of play. That's where a #9 is meant to be! Having seen him long enough, I wouldn't buy him with stolen money.
Midfield: you are light years behind Celtic. Is it player quality? Maybe, yes. Is it physical conditioning? In large part, almost certainly. Is it tactics and team philosophy? Probably, at least to some extent.
Back line: your center backs are big and physical, but they're entirely too slow to keep up with Kyogo, or anyone else Celtic might slot at the #9. Your fullbacks are out of their depth with all of Celtic's wide players. Jota, Abada, and Haksabonavic all ran riot on Sunday. And Tavernier.... Ok, yes. He's still menacing on the attack. But he's a defensive liability against Maeda. He was run into the ground on sheer effort.
Goalkeeper: it's unfair to malign the elderly... Especially a Falklands War veteran like McGregor. And I will grant, he was your best player last Sunday. Without him, it would have been much worse. That says something unflattering on its own merits.

Right now it looks like Rangers should clear out & start fresh. Technically, the way they play the game, not an ego amongst them, a dozen signings & still banking £25m+ Celtic seem leagues apart on & off the pitch. Scottish football needs an oiled Rangers challenging, the traditional gap of Celtic & Rangers against the rest is shrinking. Bringing through youth for 5 games & flogging them to Everton isn't the one. Ian Beale didn't even pick the strongest 11 in a cup final. Really not sure what's going on, Rangers seem an ageing team & don't play in-form players in Cup Finals & all this financial investigation stuff doesn't smell good. Personally, I think Rangers need to find a manager who understands the demands of the club, has a style that matches the Rangers of old and just rebuild, that's the way. Right now, it looks night & day the difference down there.
