that is the most graphic and accurate thing about tiktok's perfumery i've ever heard
Ash you gotta realize these tiktoks are for younger audiences who don't know anything about fragrances, meaning the short form, spazzy videos are ideal. The audience also only know a handful of colognes, like Sauvage. So showing them any other cologne like YSL Y or profondo is gonna melt their mind.
YSL Y has already become very popular so they're not doing themselves any justice promoting it on a video that's saying Sauvage is too popular. But yeah I get where you're coming from with the concept, you're right.
They really are for tik tockers who are too lazy to make real content and go into a place and show things they don't own and act like they know what they are talking about. Most of these videos they have no idea what they are talking about. Unfortunately with tik tok people care more about quantity of videos then quality

I have friends ask me about fragrances for each season all the time... and then reference tiktok and instagram videos and your video sums up my feelings on them. I find myself inviting them over after work to sample from my collection, or ill bring a few from home - let em sample it in locker room - few sprays for the day - they legit come to me with these videos and ask me with a straight face smh

Also the recommendations of fragrances that aren't just popular mainstream designer, but less popular mainstream designer as well as niche. Keep doing your thing Ash. Cheers.
I show like 85% indie in my videos, but yeah 15-30 seconds are my style, and for top tens I'll do 60 seconds, I just can't stand top tens that take 20 mins when you could do it in 3-5 tops and still say anything you want about that frag

Eventhough this is a year old, this is still so relevant. As someone who works in a perfume store, I literally lost track of how many male clients would show me tik toks and ask to smell the recommended perfumes and they are always the SAME recommendations despite there being different tik tok videos. Like there's never a variety, most commonly being eros, mont blanc explorer/legend, Sauvage, and Gio profondo. The most irritating part is when they ask me for my recommendations based on their likes and then show me these tik toks with these perfumes that influencers swear by eventhough they may not be exactly what they are looking for in a scent. They just are blind buying

I definitely want to further explore the realm of tik tok, I thought My knowledge of fragrance was minimal… but these tik tokers got me feeling like Jeremy fragrance over here
I find it funny how people are going crazy for Versace Eros these days whereas when it came out it was merely seen as a mix of One Million and Le Male but inferior to both of them.
The last one got me. I laughed so hard at 'the entire line'.. 🤣

I wasn't disappointed with any of them. Your description was on point. The only way that you can improve your site is by spraying a sample of the product through the screen... but you're not far from it. YOU ARE THE BEST. I may be crazy, but in the video with the guy throwing the "sauvace" bottle out the window...wasn't that a fake Aqua Di Gio Absolu as well? The cap looked lighter and the wrong wood grain and the atomizer tube looked...off.

If u really want an under the radar fragrance or a rarely used one (best for the summer and hot atmospheres) ysl fraiche, to sum it up it’s like fresh lemons not soo citrusy or sweet but is decently strong
