So incredible. I live in NH and finally made it up to the Maine Coast last June to do a puffin tour, out of Boothbay Harbor. We had beautiful weather and the Audobon narrator told us we were so lucky to see any puffins since they tend to take off on sunny days. Video cant capture how magnificant they are, so tiny and round and almost cartoon like with their beaks. It was quite an experience to have had an opportunity to see them, particularly given that climate change is affecting their ability to get the fish they eat. Thanks for posting this. I am born and raised in NH but never explored much of the Maine coast except Acadia. So we worked our way up to the Canadian Border last June and the birding in Maine, on the coast was amazing. I had hoped to go back this year but we had just got back from travelling around the u.s. so were a bit tired, but maybe next year. Maine has such an incrediblle feel to it. Thanks agan for posting your tour!
Thank you for showing sweet, strong and important bird! Also for braving waters that I am unable to cope with. No sea sickness from your photos lol, so enjoyable, thanks!
We love puffins-- we saw many on the inside coastal Alaska boat trip- have stickers in our home and business that show a puffin smoking a cigarette that say "No Puffin"-lol--thank you for another great vid
My favorite sea bird. Awesome job filming and putting the video together. I saw them at the National Aquarium in Baltimore as a kid. Always wanted to see them in the wild. Now I have because of this video. Thank you so much.
Cool! I was at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, too (on Fathers Day of this year), and I saw Atlantic Puffins there as well. I think I even saw a Puffling (adorable name for a young Puffin) there, too. So adorable! 🐧🥰
I love the commentary, and understand how difficult it would be to steady oneself on the water while trying to zoom in, I still find it difficult on land without a tripod.🤣😊Puffins are one of my favorite sea birds, I always find it amusing when they have a beak full of food to take back to the nest. Cheers from the other side of the continent!😊😀
Thank you for sharing this wonderful video. Took me back to my childhood when my dad would take me out on the boat in Nova Scotia on our holidays. Loved to climb the rocks. A few times we saw the seals. Great memories. Thanks for posting.
At the Sea Life Center in Seward Alaska, they have a place where the puffins will swim right up next to the barrier of the enclosed pond for the visitors. You can literally stand 10 inches away from them as they swim up to you and they do not seem to show any fear for people. If you ever come to Alaska you might want to visit the Sea Life Center in Seward
Truly enjoyed whole video. Thank you for taking us along on the boat. I learned a lot about puffins (did not know they molt!), and about harbor seals too. Puffins and seals are adorable....
Love these little guys so much!
Thank you.
They are about as lovable as a bird can get! BB
Lovely birds.
Puffins and seals are so beautiful to watch!🦭❤🧡💛💚👍
