I really love this paint scheme with the dark accent lines, very similar to a cell shader in videogames, almost comic like. I might paint my BOP in a similar way, thanks for inspiration!
Just came upon this clip great work! I have 3 of these plus lots of star ships, never did science fiction or space kits before but this may inspire me to get building 🏆
Another really great result. I've probably said this before, but I like the way you edit your videos, to eliminate the tedious details of the actual assembly. You state what you're going to do, show us the result, and fill in the details of what took place. You deserve more views.
This is a really awesome build. I especially like the color choices, I think that the lighter green works really well. I wish that I had done that on my BoP, but hey that's just a good enough excuse to buy another one :)
If you think about it those colors make it screen accurate. And the only time you ever see a grounded Bird of Prey is at the end of Star Trek III and IV.
@@EagleSciFiModeler Plus the way they painted them was supposed to differentiate the two different Bird of Prey classes from The TMP era and the TNG era.
I would use 1000 grit sandpaper to give the surfaces inside the translucent piece some tooth to hold paint. It would help if all of the paint colors and their numbers were shown so we could see them. I tried to make a list of them but all I got was the first one.
@@EagleSciFiModeler I finally ordered myself this set today - I'll be coming back to your video for reference and ideas regularly, your build and paint scheme was awesome. New subscriber - Thanks from Western Australia :)
Nice job! I am currently building this same model as well as lighting it up. Though I take a different approach on a lot of it. It can be seen on my channel. But great job man! congrats!

Excellent job I just came across your video

Lovely work mate. I will have to build mine. Very nice!
Thanks, I put this one off for a while but once I got started I enjoyed the build.

Thank you, I try to make them informative and reasonable in length. thanks for the support!

Thank you! The great thing about BOP is there were a lot of them so I think there lots of ways of painting them.

Yeah, I've since learned to lightly sand clear pieces that I'm painting and want light diffusion.

beautiful
Thank you!
your poly styrene? where did you get it and what thickness and sheet size?
My local hobby store Hobbytown USA... I don't remember what size I used on this model but I keep several sizes on hand.
I really needed to see the radiator assemblies. Nope. I can never figure out why builder's videos leave out some of the most troublesome things.
Sorry, I didn't show what you need though I didn't think those parts were troublesome
The original AMT kit had only Cloaked mode(I believe that one was supposed to be a joke. LOL) Cruise mode and attack mode.
😂
@@EagleSciFiModeler And I still have both of my original Birds of Prey (Generations boxing) still unstarted .
