Shelburne is no longer that nice quiet town it used to be. Too much traffic. Plus the stuff you get in the bigger towns. Houses on top of each other.

There is absolutely nothing to do here for youth ages 8 - 18... and even older, unless you enjoy drinking at bars, there is absolutely NOTHING in terms of entertainment.
If you rent you'll pay as much for a basement as you would a 2-3 bedroom apartment in Alberta.
The town itself has a horrid sewage stench, because the dopes being voted in are more concerned with making the town look pretty than updating its infrastructure.. ie the sewage treatment plant which was supposed to be upgraded around 2015.
Of course let's not forget the 2 major highways that bottleneck in the heart of the town (with no bypass) causing a horrendous amount of noise for any resident or anyone conducting business on the main strip.. "what was that?", "couldn't hear a transport was going by... hold that thought here's another"
Do yourself a favor and don't stop here.... keep driving right out of this God forsaken province and head to where you won't have to pay 2/3rds of your income on housing alone.

To be honest I have never surveyed to see the town to see how many are Canadian citizens but I would assume there is a very small number of foreign buyers.
