FB have changed the settings, it's now not possible to disable all incoming messenger calls on my phone. Seriously over FB Messenger, considering deleting the damn thing altogether.
I don't know if FB changed something since you posted this but (for MOBILE.. which is where i wanted to disable calls) as soon as I tap the Messenger icon in the mobile Browser.., it switches over to (and opens) the Messenger app, where, as we know, there are no 3 dots to select. Can't figure out a way to get it to stay in browser, to follow your steps exactly as described. Thank you tho'.
Just to see if it works.... Go to Facebook on a browser on the page you see the messenger icon (don't click the icon just be on a page where you see it) in the top corner of the browser click the 3 dots and tap "desktop site". After that it loads it as if it a computer, then proceed to click the messenger icon. It should work even without me checking to see if it does because it's the only way I can watch my MLB games as well instead of it trying to open the app.

But apparently the guy who posted this video doesn't respond to questions like he said he would. This is the 4th useless video I've watched! Why can't people post what they say they're posting? And if they're not going to respond to comments or questions, don't say that they will! I'm even more frustrated than when I started this quest for an answer. It should be an easy fix but this is just ridiculous! Grrrrrrr

Just DELETE MESSENGER and don’t use it. If this one doesn’t work out either, DELETE FACEBOOK and you’ll have a peace! Trust me! Don’t make these IT monopolies to dictate over you.

The issue is that when you use the phone browser to open facebook and then go to messenger, it automatically opens the messenger app, not the web version so you can't actually get to the settings which is so annoying. Facebook really needs to make it a lot easier than this. I use facebook for business and I'm currently getting people calling me in the middle of the night. I don't want to put it on flight mode or turn my phone off completely incase I get an urgent call from a family member outside of facebook. I found the video really helpful in terms of tuning it off on my desktop though :)
Did fine on PC but not on mobile. My phone (android) doesn't show me the menu you're showing here with the 3 dots. I used Chrome browser but I'm not getting that menu (1:20 thru 1:30). Either this is only for iphone or FB changed again their configuration since you did this video. Thanks.
All it does on the phone is prompt me to download the messenger app. It does not give me the drop down option so I can disable on my phone. Please help me!

How about turning off the ability to send FB messenger audio calls! The "calls" button is in the middle between "chat" and "people" and when you have fingers like bagets, I end up calling someone who friend requested me 6 years ago and I don't know from Adam. i want to know how not to let the senders know that their message was delivered, i already turned off my active status from web & phone but the check mark still turns full blue indicating that i'm online and chose not to read their messsage lol
Slide over on their message and click more then click ignore then it won’t show delivered just sent. It’ll go into your message requests and once you accept the request it’ll say delivered but not till you accept
I think it only turns off the notifications but still allows ppl to call you... This is such bs... If I want someone to call me i would give my phone number... I don't want no calls on fb nor any other social media app. So f... frustrating 😤
Thank you so much! OMG I have gotten early a.m. calls from strangers on the dating app. Facebook doesn't even have phone permission and it still called me. Messenger calling was off on my phone app as well. I have a Galaxy Note. I came to the settings on the computer as you suggested and sure as day. There it was! Calls on under notifications on Messenger. UGGGGH.... I think this will help hopefully.
Hopefully you can figure out the issue with iphone - in Facebook from the browser, it flips to the Messenger app as soon as you tap the Messenger button in Facebook
I just want them to stop overriding do not disturb mode on my android. why does facebook suck so much, I don't want to do all this everytime I turn DND on.

Just to see if it works.... All this does is stops me being notified when people try to call. Like many in the comments below, I want to prevent people from being able to call.
I don’t want to just turn off the sound, I want to turn off the entire feature. I don’t want to receive voice, or video calls at all.

Mine either cuz FB updated and there archaic method doesn’t allow a disable all calls feature on the app . Pretty lame if you ask me 😊
You have to switch your phone’s Facebook web page to DESKTOP MODE ..then it will show up on your phone, even the 3 dots. I just did it on my phone.
