Did the C2S yesterday and did well, especially on heartbreak hill. It's not that steep, just long. I'm happy that the uplifting, parade-like percussion music and the view of the city on the left made me think positive for those 7 minutes climbing.
Ye except if you be me, you ARE going to lose time on the downhill sweep. You need to know your strengths and weaknesses too in order to have the best possible result
Heart break hill is just a hill average steepness. I got to the top and asked another runner whether that was it or it was still to come. It wasnt at all obvious to me. Because of the name I thought it was probably still to come... I'm a big guy and cant run steep hills and this wasnt steep at all, just long.
Unfortunately not, I’ll be taking photos and videos though! And glad you commented here because I didn’t want to answer your question on the other vid as I’ve since been told that I have to keep it low key. It’s an employee store and only friends of employees can go in that store! I didn’t know it was that strict though. I have a friend that works for Nike media in Japan
Best tip - Don’t be one of those wankers walking around the Rocks 3 hours after the race still wearing the finish medal and race number pinned to your shirt.
Considering all the traffic after the race, a lot of people do end up walking back to the city(or atleast Bondi Junction). But yeah, perhaps still walking around after several hours or the next day makes you look like a nimrod.

I think Adrian can do with some more sleep tbh
Ahh definitely useful tips (and for any kind of race imo), can't wait to see how C2S goes, will be my first time there! Are you gonna do it this year?
Most likely not, but I'll be at the start and finish line! Hope to see you around! Best of luck with the race, I'm sure you'll smash it mate
These are legit good tips. 🎉
Thanks!

100% agree, I recorded this vid one year ago and I believe even more nowadays that “heartbreak hill” is flat
Are you running this year Sota?

I see. I'll have to make friends with someone at Nike when I head over there :) Keep up the great content
