Sooo to sum it up: Toga got an upgrade and can use the quirks of who she copies Twice got over his trauma and can make infinite doubles of himself, which in turn make doubles of others The invincible Gigantomachia is now Shigaraki's pet and will obey all his orders Shigaraki's Decay kills faster, goes further and spreads to things he didn't touch. Re-Destro, Geten, Skeptic and Trumpet are all allies and so is the entire Liberation Front army. They have money and influence all over Japan. The Doctor will supply them with High End Nomus and as if it wasn't enough, the doctor will give Shigaraki more "Power" Yeah thats a wrap for the heroes
Well, Twice himself can't make infinite doubles. He can still only make two. But since each of the doubles can also make two then yes, essentially it's infinite doubles.
Shiggy has white hair and red eyes because his quirk was a mutation, just like Eri. However, because of his trauma and subconsciously holding back his power, it never turned fully white.
This hair went white because his hair cells decayed - when he first unlocked his quirk he held it back, so his hair cells didn't fully decay until he finally awakened again
We have seen direct examples of this argument for and against quirk usage before in the story, just not so directly. First time was with Stain - the students used their quirks without a hero liscence, which is illegal, regardless of the fact that they were saving people from being murdered right in front of their faces, or defending themselves. The chief of police did say that the general public would have been on their side, and as an officer of the law, even he dissagrees with it or else he wouldn't have covered it up instead of sticking to the law. This already set up that the law in this case is not exactly something everyone in the society agrees with. Then there was Gentle Criminal, and his backstory where he used his quirk in much the same way as the students had, to try to save lives in a moment where he saw someone about to die. But in his case, he didn't succeed, and he wasn't covered for, and society turned against him. This shows why the law likely came to exist, especially since in the past when it was written, quirk users were in the minority. But quirks are so unpredictable that it must have been decided that this is safer - especially given the hero career path getting larger and larger and a big money maker - heroes get paid for what they do, if the public save themselves, the heroes are not getting paid. These laws are a tough call, because it falls on the side of letting people die or be murdered when you as a bystander could save them, instead of trying to help and risking your quirk making things worse, since everyone has different quirks and they are unpredictable and the general public can't be counted on to have good training over their own quirk either. And clearly, many in society do agree with these laws, since Gentle was a public pariah for using his to try to save someone. It's an extremely understandable problem for a society such as this to have to deal with. So these plots were setting up the world and showing this is a point of contention in their society but before the meta liberation army we didn't see just how many people really dissagree with the laws, how many in top positions such as heroes think these laws restricting quirk usage are wrong and outdated. Writing this comment has me wondering where that police chief falls, he might even be one of the people in top positions that is a believer in the meta liberation cause, considering his prior cover up and how he did nothing to actually argue why the law was right at the time.
very thoughtful discussion! in your conversation about the diffusion of responsibility in hero society, people abdicating their responsibility to help others, i'm reminded of Destro's goal, which Hawks quotes earlier in season 5, to create "a society completed by personal responsibility", which, in miniature, is the narrative coming out of the Deika City incident.
Yeah I'm with Abi when it comes to Shigaraki's hair. It was a gradual process until it became white as he fully unleashed his quirk. Or at least that makes sense to me. (I know it was different in the manga I don't care).
Next season will be WAR. No ifs or buts; there will be Carnage, death and devastation worse then ANYTHING seen before. Even when OFA beat AFO, that disaster will be NOTHING compared to this.
lol, don't be over the top dude, it's not THAT impressive, and considering that * spoiler * only one major hero dies on the side of the good guys, the war was a disappointing arc. Just think about it, the author didn't even have the balls to kill Gran Torino.
Yea it's a but of both, the trauma and the power. From what I got it stressed his body, cashing his hair to streak. The first time was trauma, and this time was "his own will" to change. Which could be super deep, but I don't have energy to dig more lol
just realized shigi leveled up this much after fighting machia for a month, on 4 hrs sleep. And became liberated awakened/unlocked his quirk in the span of an afternoon! not to mention toga and twice leveled as well, but MAX XP BOOST for shigi like freiza level of training growth cause our heroes took a full year at U.A and then some experiences on the side like the USJ incident, internships, stain incident, attending camp followed by the villain attack, there was the sports festival, etc to grow.
Y'all did forget Gentle Criminal when he tried to use his quirk to help others at young age and he missed things up .. that shows how not everyone should use their quirks freely without rules 🤔🤔
Eri has to build up power over time to release it. She just hasn't been charged up until now so working on releasing it hasn't been something they've needed to work on. They've just been monitoring it's growth until she's gotten to a point where she can use it. Her horn is essentially a battery charge bar.

Your point at 30:40 is interesting. I feel like Izuku could be that light of kindness that Shigiraki needs? He's always helping people and we saw how he helped todoroki from his trauma using his fire quirk. I really need to see an interaction between Izuku and Shigraki in s6, the last time they talked was in s2 and it was an intense interaction. I just wonder though if Izuku was to help Shigraki how would he even know he needs help? I feel like he would have to hear about Shigraki's backstory somehow in order to help/reach out to him. I can see this happening in battle in s6. I am only an anime watcher but I can't wait to see what is going to happen to revolve around Izuku and shigraki. They both are getting stronger and liberated.
he had stopped because he killed the source of his anxiety/need to itch. once afo takes him in and he’s shown the remains of his family, the need to itch returns, and continues as long as he’s wearing the hands. as long as he can’t be free or heal from that trauma, that itch returns. so yeah the implication is that it could’ve been true that he wouldn’t itch again if someone on the street had done something before afo.
I agree with you. However as an Anarcho-Communist I don't see the need for a state.. I agree with "regular" people needing to step on, and do mutual aid and direct action to help each other to ensure everyone's safety and well being. Basically establish networks of services. As for Shigaraki, I see him as someone who needs to be stopped and taken to therapy. But the most tragic thing is that his first on screen appearance was him attacking the kids. Even if he is helped, he'll always been known as minimum as the person who attempted to kill children. And with each arc his list of crimes are increasing. I doubt that the people will be forgiving of him. Especially since he is just an evil person who came from no where from their perspective.
There's an old anime called the Legend of the Galactic Heroes. It's a long running political, military, space drama and I highly recommend you check it out. One of the characters pretty much states outright that what people need to survive are societies, not nations. I don't think the show goes into the anarchist school of thought unfortunately, but it's still a pretty great show that deals with human history, war and politics. If the older visuals turn you off, there is a reboot with better visuals, but it's nowhere near complete at this point.
I don’t think child shigaraki was brainwashed, he was just guided towards evil. All for One just nudged him in that direction, he didn’t need to try that hard. If you remember, in the last episode, shiggy said he realized what he was doing after killing his sister and before he killing his mom. The family is more responsible for shiggys outcome than all for one, in my opinion. If the family dynamic wasn’t what it was, all for one could have tried all the brainwashing he wanted but it wouldn’t have affected shiggy if he was raised like Deku, for example
Spoiler alert.. Post war arc.. In the latest manga we learn that AFO is in control of many villains in order nations.. And MHA is going international,.. japan is in desperate situation and heroes from other nations come to help Japan... UN type organization is starting to get involve.. Please read the manga, its so much better
People keep misinterpreting this origin story saying that it was all AFOs fault. The itch is shigirakis quirk urging to destroy, the anime shows that he stops itching after he destroys something or when he decides to attempt to destroy something. AFO wasn’t lying or forcing him to do anything
All for one didn't brain wash Tomura, he just taught him his ideology but never force him to do it, Shigaraki was that full of hate that he didn't need any brain wash to follow All for one's path
I don't know,' I think A lot of people misinterpret tenko's origin. Like i know he's 5 but people forget that there ARE psychopathic children and bad people, I know too it's a culmination of a quirk that is connected to destruction and afects personality (or the other way arround), strees in home and he's only 5 IT IS a complicated origin to say right or wrong and he did play heroes but, the moment that he WANTED to touch he's father and KNEW what he was doing and say it was PLEASANT, it IS evil. If I not mistaken he says after he killed his family that he wanted that to happen before all for one and people forget that in the final scene where he's got blood on the hand and killed his father he was SMILING in the manga, in the anime they changed that. I know that it's a complex origin and situation but in my view the moment he INTENTIONLY toched hi's father he was responsible and it was evil. And the manga kinda hint a lot that it was and he is evil. Boku no hero is my favorite anime and I like shigaraki a lot, I was waiting for his backstory since season 1 lol but he's evil and responsible for his father death. Maybe more guilty than "responsible", different meanings. edit: oh i just noticed that in the anime he's also kind of smiling, it's not just in the manga.
Shigaraki is most likely an unreliable narrator. Him saying it was pleasant and that he wanted to, is him speaking from the present about the past, it's not 5 year old him speaking about it. (Present Shigaraki is even basically saying the same words about him and his past that AFO did, that it wasn't a tragedy and he needs to embrace it to destroy everything.) Shigaraki the 5 year old was experiencing severe trauma and even spared those 2 people hitting him, until AFO was teaching him that morals and ethics don't matter and he should just destroy whatever bothers him, or else he'll just be hurting himself. (The anime also added that scene you said they didn't.)
@@pepsi-4275When Shigaraki from the present says "It wasn't a tragedy" it is like a unreliable narrator but when he says he felt pleasure and he wanted to touch he's father and cleary is shown him doing and feeling that, there is nothing' more to say basically. But yeah, he hesitated in killing the 2 guys. And yes it's true, the scene where he is "smiling" is in the anime too. I saw the anime and then the manga and I don't know why I thought they hadn't put the "smile" in the anime lol.
@@danilo-xd3664 Yeah, he also claims to have felt "his heart getting lighter" when he killed his mother and sister, which clearly isn't true when you see the events again. Just because he's an unreliable narrator doesn't mean everything he says is false, but it doesn't mean everything is true either.
I think what this arc is meant to do is show us why the villains turned out the way they did to make us understand how they could become villains without necessarily excusing all their actions. Tenko killing his father in rage was wrong. I don’t think most people would argue that. At the same time I think the story is also showing us that one act didn’t define him and if somebody else had helped him maybe he could have turned out differently. That is why I think we see the scene of him initially not killing those thugs and AFO subtly goad him into giving into his rage and hatred and kill. Again I am in no way saying Shigaraki is excused for his crimes. He needs to be held accountable. At the same time I do think the series is trying to say there are real flaws in society and those flaws can create people like Shigaraki. It might be too late to save Shigaraki, but maybe they can save the next one so it doesn’t happen again.
Lol, if Izuku had run upon Tenko, he would have gained a traumatized older brother who later would have probably scared the sh*t out of Baguko and the other bullies. That's my headcanon anyways.

Twice got over his trauma and can make infinite doubles of himself, which in turn make doubles of others
The invincible Gigantomachia is now Shigaraki's pet and will obey all his orders
Shigaraki's Decay kills faster, goes further and spreads to things he didn't touch.
Re-Destro, Geten, Skeptic and Trumpet are all allies and so is the entire Liberation Front army. They have money and influence all over Japan.
The Doctor will supply them with High End Nomus and as if it wasn't enough, the doctor will give Shigaraki more "Power"
Yeah thats a wrap for the heroes
Well, Twice himself can't make infinite doubles. He can still only make two. But since each of the doubles can also make two then yes, essentially it's infinite doubles.
@@robertcampbell8070 YOU KNOW WHAT I MEANT YOU SMART GOOSE
@@LukeMoraes lol I did, but I actually have seen a few people who seemed to think he "awakened" his quirk to be able to create more than two doubles.
Shigaraki quirk is so op now. And hes gonna receive the power of all for one too? Yeah that's way too strong.
@@raulsauceda7392 Without giving anything away, in the manga he's an absolute monster.
He truly is All For One’s Successor, the true villain
very thoughtful discussion! in your conversation about the diffusion of responsibility in hero society, people abdicating their responsibility to help others, i'm reminded of Destro's goal, which Hawks quotes earlier in season 5, to create "a society completed by personal responsibility", which, in miniature, is the narrative coming out of the Deika City incident.
Yeah I'm with Abi when it comes to Shigaraki's hair. It was a gradual process until it became white as he fully unleashed his quirk. Or at least that makes sense to me. (I know it was different in the manga I don't care).
13:44, yeah, an angel of death.
Chronical portrays a pretty realistic scenario when teenagers got Telekinesis. Try to watch it. I love it
Such a good movie
Chronicle* but yes , really good movie
“ _I am the apex predator_ “
2:01 no sequel came out, but there is one in the works ..
Re-Destro becoming Shigaraki's pay pig will always make me smile
Shigaraki telling ReDestro to go away and him saying “with pleasure” makes me laugh every time
Shiggy has officially entered the anime white haired OP character tier.
7:24-7:33: The Bruno strat. Join my gang
The next season is when shit gets real.
Shigaraki's like Daenerys; shows up underestimated, destroys an entire city, and takes their army. Also white hair.
just realized shigi leveled up this much after fighting machia for a month, on 4 hrs sleep.
It is time for Shigaraki to ascend, a fresh new All For One vessel vs a One For All user who’s unlocking quirks. The fights are going to be crazy.
Aren't you spoiling it for the people who don't read the manga?
His hair was supposed to always be white. Just like Iidas eyes are red in the manga but blue in the anime.
Iida’s eyes are supposed to be RED?!?!
@@aegis5131 in the manga they're red
@@bookofsol the manga has no colour ?
AFO literally Sonned Shigaraki 💯
Honestly, whenever I hear All For One talk, Iskander and Thorkell pop up in my head (*_*)
I loved the discussion for this video!!!
He advised them to pay more attention to animes and subtitles, since almost all their reactions from their entire RUclips channel (I already saw all their reactions) always end up distracted or talking about other things and consequently they stop paying attention and then you They are lost in the stories and do not know why some things happened or how they originated, so I tell them to pay more attention or if they are going to comment or something that pauses the chapters so as not to miss anything and when they finish talking they take the pause and continue.
Well in regards to your comment, I won't say anything but... look forward to season 6. lol
CHURCH OF ABBI
"Hate of Florida" 💪
I really don't understand why in the previous episode it ends with "and then the itching stopped" and then this one starts with him itching again
he had stopped because he killed the source of his anxiety/need to itch. once afo takes him in and he’s shown the remains of his family, the need to itch returns, and continues as long as he’s wearing the hands. as long as he can’t be free or heal from that trauma, that itch returns. so yeah the implication is that it could’ve been true that he wouldn’t itch again if someone on the street had done something before afo.
13:44 yeah .. Angel of Death ☠️ -- Also, anyone else get Venom vibes from Re-Destro ..
Thank you I’ll try to watch it.
A villain has been born.
Shigaraki’s endgame is to destroy All might’s legacy and destroy the current society
I've followed you guys for a while off and on, but damn that camera upgrade. I doubt you'll need to upgrade for a longgggg time😅
where did yall get the nana poster??😭
It's too bad you didn't continue this series, the latest season was by far the best one yet
They split up the channel unfortunately
at 10:14 had me tripping for a good minute lol
Society is same as ours
Yayyyyyyyyyyy and I know ya loving shiggy now lol
Shiggyyyyyyyyy
Spoiler alert.. Post war arc.. In the latest manga we learn that AFO is in control of many villains in order nations.. And MHA is going international,.. japan is in desperate situation and heroes from other nations come to help Japan... UN type organization is starting to get involve.. Please read the manga, its so much better
People keep misinterpreting this origin story saying that it was all AFOs fault. The itch is shigirakis quirk urging to destroy, the anime shows that he stops itching after he destroys something or when he decides to attempt to destroy something. AFO wasn’t lying or forcing him to do anything
Well I guess it also depends on if AFO gave him decay too or messed with his quirk in some way.
cool

Are you a couple?
read manga
@@pepsi-4275 Yep although he has mutured in some way as a villain, he is a man child in the ways of him seeking self indulgence with power. lol
