You have taught me more in 10 videos then I have learned throughout over a month and a half of trading and watching videos daily. I only play far out of the money and try to scalp and I wonder why I don't get anywhere. It's because I never have enough to do at the money or in the money contracts.
Good luck to you all day trading options, specially buying them ! I have been trading options for over 7 years and I have done intensive research on what works and what does not over the lung run, I also have spoken to the best options traders in the world ! and let me start by saying 1 thing. If you are buying an option You better have a good reason-idea on why you are buying the call or put. Now I do not mean you doing some form of technical analysis and thinking that is your reason and the idea behind it. Buying an option has 3 disadvantage making them harder to trade and be profitable compare to selling them. 1) Time decay. ( everyday your stock does not move your option is losing value) 2 Volatility ( If your option had a high implied volatility and it contracts , than your option will devalue in price, meaning you over paid for the option and this is if the stock moves your way 3 Options most of the time are over price because they are insurance and they have an expiration date. So if your option does not move with in your estimated time, than it will expire worthless and you will lose all you paid for it. Now how do you buy an option the proper way? Simple only when there is a catalyst that you expecting to happen and you could see that stock becoming volatile and have a crazy move. Example - Trump election is coming right? Well yo could essentially go and buy an option 60 days from now expecting for the option to gain value in price as it get closing to the elections as the volatility will increase. Also you must gauge the important indicators to have a better idea. I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE BS TECHNICAL ANALYSIS , RSI , MACD and others. I am talking about looking at the options skew, the put/call ratio, upcoming events, data from the feds and your volume profiles to see where is that stock at( in this case the spy) relatively to the supply/demand . For that reason in this case it will make sense to buy an option. To me the best thing to do when trading options is to sell naked puts and calls, also vertical spreads far out the money and collect premium when volatility is high. Now selling naked option is very risky but when you do it right you have an statistical and probable advantage. Essentially you become the dealer and you get pay to hold the risk.. ANYWAYS I AM NOT GIVING FINANCIAL ADVICE AND I AM JUST WRITING HOW WOULD I PLAY IF I HAVE TO BUY OPTIONS.
I watch several RUclips videos on how to trade in the stock market but haven't made any head start because they are either talking some gibberish or sharing their story of how they made it and I do not want to make mistakes by taking risks in my own hands

This is an excellent video. Thanks for sharing
Awesome video dude. Looking forward to adding your courses in my trading journey
Great video! Question when you entered the trade for a put in the money (around minute 8:10) and you showed the charts move up 35%, I thought the charts should move down for a put in order to profit.
That is the price of the premium tho
Only if you BUY a put. But the chart moves up to show increase in premium. Your comment is a year old so you may have already figured this out so sorry in case lol
@@rinzlr3554 I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I actually never found the answer out and I just started trading again, so this is perfect timing.
@@randomness8455 I feel you man, trading can be so confusing and I usually have to remind myself of the most basic things sometimes.
@@rinzlr3554 I 100% agree. I definitely have to be mindful of my mindset. It's so easy to get overwhelmed with all of the complexities of trading, that I forget the simplest things. Definitely appreciate you bro.
You still use the .30 delta for day trading Nowadays?
How far back do you go to draw in your supply and demand?
Thank You Carmine, another greatly detailed and fully explained video. great content! TY
