Poor baby. I hope her family has overcome whatever issues caused them to go from being diligent to neglectful. I pray they get her to a vet expeditiously and that the lump is benign. She was so stoic during your shave of her infected area. A less patient and less careful groomer probably would’ve dropped to a 15 and ended up shaving over that infection accidentally. I’m glad she had you and hope she gets back on a proper schedule.

Look, some people choose dogs that they don't realize just how much work and dedication it takes for some breeds.
My own daughter is one of these types of people.
I noticed as her, doodle, dog was growing, that his hair was becoming thicker, and needed grooming more often.
She already has three children to take care of. So, like any grandmother would do for her grandchild( I consider my children's animals, my grandchildren as well, because they are a part of the family)
I took it upon myself to"gift a groom" for her doodle.
Some people asked me, or in some cases scolded me for paying for someone else's dig to be groomed. And they said that it's the owner's responsibility to pay for their dog to be groomed.
Well, while I do agree with that, I also am a Christian and my Lord expects us to help those in need. I saw a need, and I helped. Not for a pat on my back, but to set an example to others, instead of judging, offer to help, and you will be blessed as well.😊

I remember this doodle from before, and I agree with some of the other comments. She didn’t look anything like this last time she was here. Something must have occurred within the family that led to this.. We truly are handling all that we’re capable of ❤🙏🏾🕊️

Why do people get Doodles if they are not going to take care of them properly? This is blatant NEGLECT. Doodles require daily brushing. Even if they were unable to bath the dog, but not brushing is causing so much pain as the hair matts. This makes me both angry and sad.
I feel you in full, I have a doodle too but was always brought up with an iron fist to know and do maintenance on any dog I wanted BEFORE I got said dog. My doodle is a challenge yes but she is properly maintained.
I have a deep respect for groomers and feel very sad for them when all the grooming is left to them, one of my 'friends' gets annoyed with how often I brush my Connie "because it's sooooooo much effort" refusing to understand maintenance begins at home as does neglect.
I understand people have hard times or that perhaps Layla here was lost for some time, but it's hard to make excuses when I see it so often.
I stated in the video she usually comes on a 6-8 week schedule but we think something happened. She came in like clock work so something must have happened that knocked them off their routine
But I do agree some people get dogs they can’t handle. This one in particular is really good with their dogs. But things come up so I definitely get it.

She shouldnt be an outside dog either..shes been out there alone unnoticed for months most likely
She’s an outside dog in a sense that she is a dogs dog. Like, she goes hiking and through the creek and such. She lives inside and is typically on a 6-8 week schedule but we think something happened that knocked them off their schedule

considering how well they took care of her, then 8 months goes by starting at holidays, this might be a result of owner depression. if thats the case, Thank goodness shes coming out of it.

If I was this client, I don’t think I’d ever come back after listening to this. Maybe somebody got sick, or they had financial difficulties like a lot of people are right now. At least they brought the dog in.
@@TheDezertRatt listening to what, nothing bad was said about the client. All we talked about is possible reasons as to why they haven’t been in for such a long time. I think you need to listen a lot better. Also, read the comments. 🤦🏾 some people just want something to be so negative. Interesting how you’re the ONLY one who made a comment like this 😂.

Long hair dogs are a lot of work. I have a Lhasa Apso that due to medical reasons cannot go to the groomers. I have to cut her myself and make sure all of her Matt’s are out. She may look like she got run over by lawn mower but her hair is tangle free. Matt’s pull on the skin and cause soars. If you do not have time to take care of a long hair dog, please get a short one. Doodles are especially hard because there coats are a mixed bag.
p.S. at first I did not think I liked the music but then I realized it was very relaxing. 😴
The run over by a lawn mower tickled me 🤣🤣🤣. I’m glad the music was relaxing. I try not to make it so loud but just enough so that I don’t get copyrighted from the music in the background
Good dog, Laila! Even when you nicked her wart she didn't fight you. Her fur is so pretty it's a shame it has to be shaved off!

@@mybrainhurts924 I’m not completely sure what you mean but when shaving mats out you have to shave them out a certain way (so you’re not grabbing skin). I’m not sure what you mean by rough because I don’t see what you’re saying. If you can explain a little more that be great!

Is that shampoo tear proof?
On the face 9 times out of 10 it is (unless they have fleas or allergies). I also rinse the eyes with cold water to get soap out because tearless can irritate the eyes as well. Just depends on how sensitive the dog is to the products.

Awwww precious Layla😢...I hope you feel better without all those mats. People get these beautiful dogs and for some reason don't keep up with thier grooming, could be financial difficulties or just being lazy and since they can't talk to complain, we need to stay up as best as possible on taking care of them.

Layla did great, you were nervous and trying to send that negative energy through the screen. Didn’t happen. Reasons why I’m the groomer and you’re the watcher. Be blessed.

Sorry i have no sympathy for these dog owners .they get dogs they cant afford to keep and the dog suffers due to there uneducated person ..so i say all of theses dog owners should be charged for lack of there responsibility ...a shame the government has not brought in a policy to charged theses uneducated dog owners

makes me uncomfortable watching you handling the shaver. You seem to hold it at such an angle that you snag the skin all the time, it is not smooth, you hit. I have watched hundreds of grooming videos. So I am not saying that to be annoying
Groomers hold the clipper whatever way is comfortable for them so no groomer holds them the same. When your shaving mats out of a dogs coat the skin is going to move no matter what. I only got her skin once during this groom and it’s because she had a skin tag under the mat (no way to tell that). During those hundreds of grooming videos you’ve watched, that is something you learn. Never compare one groomer to the next because no groomer is the same. EVERY groomer will tell you that. I hope your day is going well! 🙏🏾

Yeah she runs through the woods with her brother and swims in lakes. That have training collars and such. She’s really well behaved. They typically come on a routine schedule but I believe something happened to where she couldn’t
