The 400G OSFP SR4 Flat Top (Compatible with MMA4Z00-NS400) is a 400Gb/s single-port OSFP transceiver that supports both InfiniBand (IB) and Ethernet (ETH) protocols. It uses a single 4-channel MPO-12/APC fiber connector to achieve multimode parallel transmission over SR4.
The firmware of the transceiver can work with both InfiniBand and Ethernet protocols and it automatically detects the protocol of the switch that it is connected to. The OSFP shell has a flat-top design and it uses the cooling fins on the ConnectX-7 connector cage to dissipate heat. When it is linked to a 1:2 splitter fiber cable, it only activates two channels on the split end and reduces the speed to 200G and the power consumption accordingly.
