Very smart on your part. I also cancelled my pre order. Besides the updated (Not Upgraded)durability the other specs are the same as the Last 2 years and last 2 Z Fold phones. A Message to Samsung... Step Your Game Up!
I'm with you. I actually pre-ordered the Z and then I went to Best Buy a couple times and tried the Z Fold 6. Ending up canceling the pre-order in favor of the OnePlus Open.
I picked up the OnePlus Open on Prime Day and it has been a fantastic change from my Z Fold4. My biggest issue with Samsung is that they have gotten complacent with their foldable. For $1,900, I expect the best of the best and not compromising on the battery, camera, and outer display. The OnePlus Open and S24 Ultra are the perfect combo.
You should get the one you like, all folks can´t like same things and that´s good. :)
FOr myself i would say F6 was worth the upgrade just on design, and trade in around here is a joke so you have to cash the phones and it´s 2500$ here.
I am one of them who like the smaller size front screen as i don´t need it big there, and samsung with their ui is just to good to pass on for folds.
I agree with you 1000%. The z fold 6 is basically buying the z fold 5 twice LOL. The open is far superior better charging and that's all I need
OPEN is a great device 👍. I love my Z Fold 6 though. Also a great device. Glad we have so many choices.

I noticed that people who don't get the fold all have the same exact talking point. I can tell you what they'll say before they say it. It's money, camera, how thin other phones are and battery. Same exact thing. Nothing about the actual functionality of the phone. The other phones that people compare it to have nothing but being a few millimeters thiner which, let's be honest 😑 You can't see that unless you're looking for it. Battery is a good point, but those other phones have horrible warranties, Software doesn't function as well and only have 1 - 3 years of updates. Plus so many other issues
Have heard OnePlus in particular has horrendous support. Which is a shame because I agree that the Open is an amazing phone. Just have to hope nothing goes wrong with it, bc OnePlus may leave you out to dry.
The software optimization, Dex, and better support is why I'm going with the Fold.
I ended up getting the one plus 12r. It's one of the few affordable phones left. That one plus is looking good you got though.
zfold 6 is a beast. you cant compare samsung sofware, which is the best.

I definitely agree with u on samsung keep jacking the price but not offering anything. I just want another android company to step up and legitimately challenge samsung. It's time for another android option
The ultra has pointy corners also people are saying the Galaxy s24 Ultra digs into their hands too
I love my z fold 6 i gave my fold 4 in for it the phone is premium.I'm not gonna lie.I got the Fold4 right in front of me right next to my fold.6 , and there's no comparison 100%different the oneplus is not premium the hinge is not as durable.
The titanium on the 6 gives it a must have.
How the phone closes it is just everything about. The phone is amazing and I'm not gonna lie. I'm not going to make my decision because of a camera. I'm making my decisions on how well the phone is put together.How much the phone has changed from its protester?

My apologies but that's not titanium on the Galaxy Z Fold 6, that's only improved aluminum. Samsung is not giving us enough to give up our Z Fold 5s. Plus for the price bracket we should get either S24 Ultra specs or better than the S24 Ultra specs.
Yeah well a lot of us are getting that z-fold six for only $700, because Samsung is giving us $1,200 trade credit for flip 5 😂
I like the square corners but they need to make the outside screen bigger and incorporate the s pen into the phone. It woukd be close to perfect 👌

I totally agree, pass on the Z Fold 6 if you have a Z4 or Z5. I love my OnePlus open as well. I believe it's superior to the Z Folds and the Pixel Fold. I'm saving my money for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

I feel you i skipped the z5 and have the 3,4 and the 6. I was going to skip the z fold 6 but i need a 1tb i 512 isnt enough. Im still keeping my open because i use it to much everyday to turn on fans and tvs with. I already played with it at best buy I'm not impressed but dusting off my s24 ultra and using it for the first time since it came out and it pretty enjoyable. It looks like the pixel 9 pro fold will have the same body as the open so i might get the pixel this year too.
I don't feel so bad about having multiple phones now. She got me beat lol

I'm too broke for a OnePlus open I have the Zfold4 and with the one ui 6.1 update they put the voice to text emblem on the bottom left-hand corner of the screen and with that phone being so narrow it's very difficult for me to reach that mechanism especially as a delivery driver or if I'm trying to send a voice to text out I have to just go ahead and open the main screen and send out a message or do whatever it is I need to do I'm not one of those people that want to get the wow factor from other people whenever this phone opens up I prefer to keep it low-key. So definitely if could have gotten a OnePlus open I would have got that instead of the Zfold 4 just based off the screen real estate alone without opening the main screen
