I feel the same way. Honestly, I kinda wish they had stuck with that vibe for the series or at least incorporate it more. It gave this game a unique vibe that I haven't seen from most platformers and it could have been an interesting basis for a series. I enjoy where Rayman is now, but I do wish that they would try 3D again and revisit some of the world concepts from this game and 3. Sorry for the tangent, had to get that all out.
I love Rayman 2, it is one of my first games. And I got a trauma with the game because of a few levels, like the land of the dead where those f*ckers from ubisoft animated how the "zombies" (?) eat rayman if you touch them with low health. Or the big spiders levels, with that creepy theme. Couldn't stop crying for 1 week
I hate that this just got recommended to me now when it couldve done so many years ago, this is an amazing video and i plan on coming back every day now.
Okay, you may know this already, but just incase: Micheal Ancel (if that is how you pronounce it) said on Twitter that he was in a thrift store and found a Rayman 3 statue. In the same tweet, he said that he wanted to work on Rayman 4 after he’s done with Beyond Good and Evil 2. So yeah, we be getting Rayman 4!
The thing that most impresses me is the fact that you don't have hundreds of thousands of subscribers. YOU REMAINING ALMOST ANONYMOUS IN THIS GALAXY FRUSTRATES ME.
This atmosphere is amazing, and so is this beat that sounds like it could just keep going on, this really feels like it comes together, like it all belongs, because of the sounds you chose and the way you arranged them, and you are also my hero for making a rayman mashup in the first place.

Hey! Rayman! Knew it was rodeo. Gotta brew stew! Oh oh Worchester. Goodbye! Oh oh, knew it was rodeo. Yeah! Go! Do-do ah! On my leg. Rayman! Wuh wuh wuh Wuh Guh- day c:
Rayman 2 was really something else. was the first game i played to break in my new brand new PS2 as a kid on Christmas day. The New ones are good as well, but there was just something about Rayman 2 that was just different, and unique.
im in love with everything in this game!! i love their sweet voices and how rayman has such a soft little voice! also globox! he sounds like he just cares about every little thing! and how in Rayman 3 he even cares about Andy!?
Man you cant really tell from this video, but rayman 3d was actually super dark. Not literally, like the story was super dark compared to origins, or legends
rayman 2 was scary as fuck. Really there is something about that game that is fucking creepy. it's a very strange game, but that's one of the reason i love it.
I remember getting this game as a kid and really loving it, but I didn't have a memory card for the n64 so I never got more than an hour in the game. I should probably revisit it sometime.
I was around 7-8 years old when I started playing this game. It was among my first video games. At the time I had zero english knowledge, so I had to figure out how to press the correct buttons in the menu to get into actually playing. ...I also did not know that there was a "Save game" option. Yes, every time I played, I started from the beginning, playing trough the game for however much time I got that day. Two or so times I reached the last level, and then... my computer froze. Yep. It was a Win98 installed pc, so I had that coming for me. After six hours of continous playing, that damned thing froze and I couldn't advance further. I had a headache from so much screentime. And I was furious. Since then, I played trough the game a few times over the years, but I always stopped before the end. Right at the point where back in the days my pc froze. I feels like that's a journey that will never and for me and I want it to be that way. Rayman was my childhood, a mysterious little world that I will always love. Thank you for capturing it's atmosphere perfectly.
I'm continually amazed by how much atmosphere the weird voices lent the universe, 3 had English and it just sucks out all the exotic mystery of the game.
The main reason for not using a language which people will understand is then you will have to translate it to every language (well, a lot) and this takes a lot of money. By Rayman 3, they probably had the money to translate the languages, so they did.
Sentay0 I probably would have liked the voices if they sounded right. I would have preferred it if they sounded like the noises they would make in Rayman 2. But they didn't, and that annoyed me.
Dude this game! I remember my mum had the fairy chick as her background for yeeeears, and the level with the skeletons and the purple goop scared me forever D': This song is pretty sweet dude, keep up all the awesome stuff
Man the memories in this single video. I remember this so well when I watch this. I feel so sad that I never actually finished the first two rayman games, I played them but never finished. I think I even played Rayman when it came out in 95 on ps1, I was 5 at the time. The world is just so unique and cool that just appeals to me so much as its not like everything else out there. I only finished Rayman 3, which I also really like. I still have the first one but not the 2nd one, I need to get that again. Great remix using in game sounds :D Thanks for the nostalgia.
_Rayman 2: The Great Escape_ was the first game I played that showed me video games could be magical. The Raymanian dialogue really made the game feel like it was a whole different world.

I always thought of rayman 2 having a mystifying yet dark atmosphere and this song catches that perfectly.
I feel the same way. Honestly, I kinda wish they had stuck with that vibe for the series or at least incorporate it more.
