Basic information and History
Matching numbers Porsche 356 C from 1964 in exquisite condition! The car was part of a private collection on the east coast in the States for over 20 years. The owner passed away in 2021 and the cars were then sold. The car comes with a POCA document (Porsche certificate of authenticity) which proves the car's original colour, engine and chassis number. The car comes with an original jack and instruction and repair manual.

Equipped with a 1.6-liter boxer four of approx. 75hp/120nm mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox and rear wheel drive.
Condition
The general condition of the bodywork is described as very good. The car has been rust repaired in the few places where rust was present. Pictures are available for all repairs. The body is thus stainless. The paintwork is described as perfect and was repainted in 2023 in the original color Sky blue (#6403). The rear Porsche emblem was off center and unfortunately the old holes for the emblem were forgotten to be closed when the car was painted. The car has received a new windshield and the other windows are original windows with normal wear. The floor has been replaced on both sides during the renovation. Lights, chrome, moldings and emblems are described as being in very good condition. Rear lights have been modified to European standards. The rims are in good condition and were shod with new tires in 2023.
Interior condition is described as fine. The car has received, among other things, new carpets. Previously, the chairs were covered in original leatherette, but have now been covered in black leather. The chairs are in good condition for their age with only minor wear. The back of the driver's seat has had a 3cm tear repaired and painted black. The back locking of the driver's seat does not work and cannot be locked in the folded position. Adjusting the tilt and folding of the backrest works fine. Instrument panel, controls, steering wheel and gear lever are in very good condition. The inner roof is fine but there is a tear at the right rear and a small crease at the left rear. New waist belts have been installed.
The rubber strip for the rear window has been slightly damaged in connection with installation. The pristine radio works in the car and has been given a set of new speakers! Amazingly, the original clock, which is still fitted, also works, as does the foot pump and other parts for the windscreen washer. However, the cigarette lighter is out of order, but it is a vehicle that perhaps should not be smoked in regardless.
Engine is described as being in good condition and without any leaks. Compression is smooth and fine and has been measured at 10.5-10.7kg. The heat works great. The rear trailer has been additionally equipped with compensation springs for better stability. These were originally fitted to the Carrera and Super90 but could be had as an option on all models. The ignition system has received a magnetic switch. However, the owner writes that the car would do well with a carburettor adjustment as it sometimes offers exhaust noises in 4th gear!
The drivetrain is in good condition, but the current owner feels that the transmission is somewhat sloppy and the transmission linkage should be revised. The car has received new brake discs all around and that all brake calipers have been renovated with newer pistons and more. Speedometer has been changed to one with KM/H but it shows approx. 20km/h too fast.
Service history
In 2023, the car received a new distributor cap, rotor, ignition cables and pins. Oil and filter were also changed in the same crank. All receipts are available for renovation/purchase of parts. The last inspection was carried out in 2023.
