This is about the way totalitarian regimes (would very much like to) treat entertainers, artists and poets, that deign to incorporate even a whiff of criticism into their output...
I think the message is really important this day and age, and every metalhead has the cells to know how important it is to support critical investigative journalism, freedom of expression and fact-based public discussion.

I appreciate any reactor who doesn't force themselves to fall in love with every song. As a Finn, the lyrics are so clever they mask the rather basic song. But even without the video, it's an intense, well-produced and performed thing. Not one for the ages, but enjoyable.

There also a weird sense of dark humor in there too

Just started watching your video so I don't know if this is something you usually do, but in the future, I would recommend going back a bit after pausing a song. Pausing can break the "build up" of the song.

I like their song "sirkkeli" because it's simple and pure 'in your face' type of Thrash Metal. Songs that have more or at least deeper meaning could be like "Enkelinmurskain" or "Kannoin sinut läpi hiljaisen huoneen".

Heeeyy!! There's that Stam1na reaction 😁 Thanks for doing it. Stam1na are quite socially aware band and has a lot of criticism in their songs for the state of humanity, government and corporate world these days. Their albums often have a theme in them. Official videos are usually made with dark humor and can be a bit distracting from the song, when you don't understand the lyrics. Maybe try some suggested songs live, or just audio.

Thank you for this! This song is about the things why Marco left public life.

Oh I just now saw that you've reacted to stam1na. This band has a special place in my heart because their music helped me push through a very difficult time in my life.
Anything from the album "Raja" is awesome. Susi-Ihminen , Muuri... Lääke has a very awesome video. Panzerfaust is one cool video too.

Thanks for an honest reaction. Their songs range from full on trash to more slow, harmony and melody based ones. Videos are quite often done with some comedy aspect and not related to song directly. My favourite album is Viimeinen atlantis and maybe check Piste jolta ei ollut paluuta from it next. Its a theme album so if you have time listen it end to end to get the full picture.

Pretty much an old school thrash band. Their sense if humor puts me in the mind of Anthrax before they decided to take themselves deadly serious all the time, or certain Megadeth songs. Great reaction!

First of all you actually hit pretty close for pronouncing the name of the song. the first 2 words were strongly accented but otherwise spot on and only the third word "Vaateet" was mangled. Name means "Rulers new Demands" and is a pun of the old fairytale "Emperors new clothes (Keisarin uudet vaaTTeet)". It is said that the song is about the record labels.
Song talks about how a musician is critic to the powers that be and therefore must be censored, disgraced, silenced, drowned to deep waters and beaten (not necessarily in this order).

No it isn´t, it translates to New demands of the ruler
      "Ruler is demanding
      A punishment for the criticism
      A censorship, a banishment
for the sickness of the singer
      Disgrace as a cure
      Fames are undressed
      New demands of the ruler
Wags a finger at the ruler
Prisoner's stocks and shackles are shaken off like dandruff
Sings his end at the public pyre
even though was pointing a finger only at his mirror"
