lol that's the funny thing, its VERY A LOT more common than people think to sleep separately its just that it has a bit of a taboo somehow. Most who sleep separate will just sleep alone until they wake up near their alarm then whoever wakes up first near that alarm joins the other to cuddle the last 15-45 minutes or so (with maybe a small nap involved).
Me and my boyfriend are gonna sleep separately when we move in together because I hate sharing space when I sleep lol. I hate people touching me when I'm sleeping
@@pissapocalypse Totally understand, although, as someone who has spent 14 years married and NOT always had the option to sleep with their partner (due to military life) I'd advise balancing it effectively. Yeah, there are moments when you need that uninterrupted sleep, but there are also times when it's important to 'take the L' just to be close and reveal in 'experiencing' your partner. Finding the balance is the key. As someone who realized when they retired that my wife and I had slept in the same bed for less than a quarter of the marriage, it was a bit of an eye-opener. While I will always be old, crusty, and cynical, I also appreciate the human connection and it's hard to argue that magic is at its peak when you share a bed with someone you love. While my wife's constant need to treat me like her personal jungle gym in the wee hours of the morning is absolutely annoying, holding her close and just being engulfed in the scent of her hair is a level of comfort I can't describe. Life is all about balance in the end.
That is the balancing act and it’s unique for each couple. Which is annoying as hell but life is a bitch…lol. You guys will figure it out. Like we all do. I don’t specifically know you, but can only comment on my own experience. Life was hard for the wife and I. The military demanded a lot from me and I was very much ‘married to the life’. While I am unaware of your specific circumstances, I can offer the advice of approaching the relationship as a team. It’s you guys versus the world. Stick together, dive into the foxhole side by side, and fight back against the constant bullshit life throws at you. It almost broke me and the wife at about the six year mark, but that’s where we made our unique decision. We’re together ‘till the wheels fall off’. It helped define our mindset and endure so much, it’s hard to put into words. And somehow we’re still together and living a full life.

I think all married couples should have their own bedroom. You don't always have to sleep separately, but sometimes you just need to stretch out and not be disturbed by someone else breathing and moving. Hell, anyone that's well off should have three rooms. One bedroom for when you have sexy time or just otherwise want to sleep together, and then each have a bedroom that's their own personal space.
Dude why 3, why not just 2...can sleep and have a sexy time in one and whoever is in need of space can go to bedroom #2 so 2 can serve the same purpose as 3 unless you have multiple partners..
