lol that's the funny thing, its VERY A LOT more common than people think to sleep separately its just that it has a bit of a taboo somehow. Most who sleep separate will just sleep alone until they wake up near their alarm then whoever wakes up first near that alarm joins the other to cuddle the last 15-45 minutes or so (with maybe a small nap involved).

While my wife's constant need to treat me like her personal jungle gym in the wee hours of the morning is absolutely annoying, holding her close and just being engulfed in the scent of her hair is a level of comfort I can't describe. Life is all about balance in the end.

While I am unaware of your specific circumstances, I can offer the advice of approaching the relationship as a team. It’s you guys versus the world. Stick together, dive into the foxhole side by side, and fight back against the constant bullshit life throws at you. It almost broke me and the wife at about the six year mark, but that’s where we made our unique decision. We’re together ‘till the wheels fall off’. It helped define our mindset and endure so much, it’s hard to put into words. And somehow we’re still together and living a full life.
