I've been to Tokyo a few times and I have never seen a city so utterly fascinating and wondrous to explore, while also having it horrify me to my core. Dear God, a city covering that much landmass is near overwhelming.
The way everything is arranged is like there's a certain scale, exactly down to the centimeter. And when viewed from above it looks like an electronic circuit board.
That was really beautiful. My wife and I lived in Yokohama from 2000 to 2002 and so are very familiar with Tokyo, but, I have never seen it like that. Can't wait to go back.

Honestly, it would have lost its charm. Think about it, the city would have an increase in taller slimmer skyscrapers like in Hong Kong and the Skytree would have never been built. What I like about the Tokyo of our reality is that the city has short and blocky skyscrapers with the 633 meter skytree dwarfing its surroundings. It makes a very unique skyline amongst other cities on this planet.

I'd like to fly around the entire coastline as it's something we see very little of.
Tokyo is wonderful, but maybe Fuji-Hakone-Izu-Nationalpark would be nice, too...
After Tokyo I'd say Kyoto, Okinawa, Nikko area in fall, and second the Fuji / Hakone area.
