The most recent edition, the Misery Gauntlet, is the hardest race that Path of Exile has ever seen, with near-impossible completion goals. In this video I breakdown @jungroan's build, which used a unique approach to both gearing progression and bossing, and discuss his insane run in the Misery Gauntlet.

Can someone explain how the build handles damage? the PoB seem to be kinda wrong since it shows 300k dps but the gameplay seems to be a lot higher. At least I am preatty sure thats not how 300k dps with 50% reduced damage looks XD
The damage is per trap, each trap rotates once for a total of 2 hits(2 poisons) and each poison lasts around 5 seconds. Each cast throws 3 traps, so the damage is limited by how many traps you're able to throw/land
they r not actually taking 50% reduced damage as its a poison build. zizaran and steekmage when over this on stream (when watching Bens final bosses ruclips.net/video/NPwWzShHIiQ/видео.html&ab_channel=Steelmage about 5 mins in) poison dots bypass the reduction but are capped at 36 million dps by the client. thats why poison builds are so good in game and why all the top paced gauntlet runners where doing poison builds
@@kyrinmchendry8151 What they meant was not that poison builds bypass the reduction but that they are capped at 36 million in live as well as in the gauntlet. Most poison builds would do easily more than 36million on live but they cant because they are capped so they reach the same cap more easily in the gauntlet. The damage cap is a hard limitation of the code so its present in all leagues. Thats why they said Ben would not actually do more damage on live they did not mean the 50% reduction was not applying/working for poison. I have read this misinterpreted several times now where people interpret it as the mod somehow being bugged out or not working for poison but in reality its just that poisonbuilds technically do way more than 36 million dps on live but run into the cap always.
I mean the result is pretty similar to how you put it but we should not make it sound like poison was somehow bugged or something and people were exploiting that. People were just exploiting that poison does insane damage and is not balanced at all outside of being capped :)
Same is true btw. for ignite builds they also are capped at 36 million because thats the DoT cap though as far as I know ignites have a harder time actually reaching it because you cant stack ignites.
@@kyrinmchendry8151 This is incorrect, the bosses are absolutely taking 50% reduced damage. The point they were making is that you can still reach the same DoT cap as you are able to in a normal scenario(ie. the DoT cap is not halved by the damage reduction), but to do that you would need to deal double the damage(which is why Steel says that Ben has 60 million dps, which in a normal scenario would be irrelevant because it would be capped, but with the Gauntlet damage reduction mod, and any other applicable damage reduction found in game, if you have enough damage you can still reach the normal cap).
i think maybe he should use the Pyroclast Mine of Sabotage for added the almost 50% more damage. but the problem is skitterbots will trigger the mine.
He didn't have the sockets for this since the body armour sockets needed to be empty

That's a new one. I've had many complaints back when I was using an AI voiceover when I first started this channel(you can go back and check out my first videos) but I've never had anyone say that my actual voice sounds like AI lol
HE STOLE MY BUILD!!! this is my one and only build on my account in sc affliction. laceration trickster. i should have played the gauntlet. ffs. oh, nvm, i rmember why i hate this game. he still went poison like a lil ich. we need a some one to makea better version of poe. I'd do it but they'd just pay their shells to meme it into the ground and i don't have tencent money to pay them not to.

It's a blade trap trickster with poison, what is there even to invent? I hate the idea of people claiming ownership of a build like it means anything. It's not like the build was even made by him first anyways and this version is different, developed for the gauntlet by Jung.
I think Jung took inspiration from Lance's build just as Lance took inspiration from many others to compile a bunch of tech to make up his build. The difference there was that Lance had infinite currency in a trade league environment to put together a near-perfect setup, while Jung was able to create this in the gauntlet in a matter of days. There's plenty of similarites between the builds, but also a lot of differences as well.

Jung didn't do a video on it cuz its a build yoink for the gauntlet which would start drama about how he stole a build and claimed as his own if he did that.

@@GigaChadJecht This is essentially the same as saying anyone's build using countless RF tech is just Pohx's build and they should always credit him, except they don't since countless other players played RF and used all of these mechanics long before Pohx. There were plenty of Ephemeral Edge BT Trickster's in Ancestor league, which Lance took inspiration from, and those players took inspiration from those who played it before them. The whole build ownership thing is kind of ridiculous
The shuffle and toss game play just doesn't do it for me anymore. ARPG's need to evolve beyond running in a circle and spamming ranged DPS.
I personally don't enjoy trap/mine gameplay in the slightest either

@@scotty4189 Of course. As someone with easily 20k hours on POE, not to mention playing since D1 and nearly every good ARPG, I know what I like and don't. POE has devolved into this for much of its gameplay and I hope that changes on POE 2. I usually only play one or two chars per poe league now and then move on to Escape from Tarkov or Star Citizen etc.

@@LarpingAsALarper are you trolling or mentally challenged? the build is the same obviously you can invest far more in it in trade league. the skills used are the same. the support gems are the same. the unique items are the same even the tree looks 95% the same. instead of a mageblood he has the traitor which is easier to get. but if he could get all the items then it would 100% be lances build.
