Talequah, Oklahoma was established as the capital of the Cherokee Nation after the Trail of tears, and is pronounced TAH-LEH-KWAH. There is no long E sound. I know it's a minor detail, but it does matter to the people who live in these places that nobody cares enough to even ask a local how to pronounce it.
