Orbot and Cubot are my favorite Eggman henchmen. Not only because they’re funny, but it’s because they’re the only ones who appear in both a Sonic TV Show and video games.
And they are tempted to join Sonic. Too bad their VorrnyVorrn Eggman Revan programming prevents it.

They have basically become the ultimate Eggman henchmen, they appear in series, videogames, comics, etc

I would pay for them to be playable in any Sonic game I just wanna play as Orbot is that too much to ask? In the Olympic games you can play as Metal Sonic but not Orbot and Cubot they just help with the games n stuff that's why I love playing the Mario & Sonic London 2012 Olympics because there is a mini game named Orbot & Cubot tag sure you can't play as them but it's fun being chased by my Favourite and my second Favourite character (I'm sorry but I have favourites Orbot is my favourite out of the two and no not because Cubot is a bit dumb one of the traits I like about Cubot is that he's a bit dumb I just prefer Orbot) but the fact that I mightve been a Sonic fan before I knew about Sonic boom and didn't know Orbot and Cubot existed is depressing but idk if I knew Sonic before I knew Sonic boom because I've known Sonic boom for a couple years and I don't have memory of knowing Sonic maybe I did know Sonic before I knew Sonic boom because we have the Lonfon Olympics the Winter Olympics and the Beijing Olympics on the wii
The cutscenes of Sonic Colors but it's actually somewhat bearable.

Orbot and Cubot are one of the best things to come out of the modern Sonic game era!
Fun fact: Cubot is voiced by Wally Wingert who plays The Riddler in the Batman Arkham games

These two are my childhood.
I know this is going to be a controversial opinion for some Sonic fans, but by a landslide Orbot and Cubot are my favorite henchmen Eggman ever had in media. Unlike other henchmen the doctor had, they are both not outright evil and are basically only classified as villains just because of circumstance, which I always found interesting. Plus, they can be quite comical at times, although I do argue that they can still be strong characters without the comedy.
I respect fully if you do not agree with my opinion. I can totally see why some people prefer Scratch and Grounder, or one of the other few sets of henchmen in Sonic media. I just for some reason have a soft spot for Orbot and Cubot, which might be because I became a true fan of the Sonic franchise near the early 2010’s when they were introduced.

I actually could not tell it was the same voice actor as Shadow the first time I heard his voice. I can now that I know, but it is usually pretty hard to tell sometimes. I think it is the British sounding accent that makes it hard for me. There are a couple of times though I can tell whenever Orbot speaks a bit deeper in some rare instances.

Certain of best characters of the entire series! They're fun and amusing and really ajout a good part of lightness to the series (not a cringe lightness, a fun one)!
I remember my first meet with them were in the Wii version of Mario and Sonic at the London 2012, with the Tag minigame where Orbot and Cubot must capture characters in cages! This was not only a fun mini-game, this is a game which makes me meeting Orbot and Cubot, and I like them! At the beginning, I thought Orbot and Cubot were robots programmed to capture Sonic and friends. Finally they're not and aren't enough evil for that, but it's a theory I found interesting ! What a shame this tag mini-game and the Story Mode of London 2012 don't belong to the same version, I just would love to see that! Imagine Orbot and Cubot being ordered by Eggman to stop Sonic, Mario, Tails and Luigi by capturing them with this mini-game to accomplish in order to continue the story! This would be cool!
Cubot and Orbot are definitely the robotic and comedic villains of the modern Sonic games.
I’ve got to play Sonic Colors after watching this scene dedicated to them.

I have to completely agree. I really love the voice direction his voice actor has now compared to Sonic Colors. However, this does not mean that the voice direction he had before was in the least bit bad. When you are freshly voicing a character, it is going to sound different as compared to later once you become more familiar with the character. This is definitely what happened here. You can see this with even Sonic’s current voice actor in over the last decade. Sonic’s voice direction was originally higher pitched, but it became more mature sounding as time went on.

I vaguely remember Orbot having three arms, but that's probably just me.
If they didn't have a third arm to begin with, adding it would actually maybe look better to me.
It just fits them somehow.

Ik it's unlikely but I would like if they add orbot and cubot to the movies. It would be great to see how they look in a film

Looking back at sonic colors and onward it implied Eggman wanted his own companions like sonic and extra help as the way i now see Orbot and Cubot are counterparts to tails and Knuckles only with their flaws to sonic friends with orbot he is Serious and intelligent like tails but orbot does become tired of Eggman treatmeant and makes spiteful sarcastic remarks well Tails enjoys working for sonic and heve a close bond well Cubot is a dimwit and lazy not very serious Well Knuckles is still slow on things at times but is seen doing other things than being lazy and is still serious plus their colors also are swap making theme counterparts to tails and knuckles in someway
