I used to get ocular migraines when I was in middle school (I am 22 now), but then I stopped getting them consistently. Now, I only get them when I am under an insane amount of stress or when I am very exhausted. When I get them, I usually have to take heavy pain meds and sleep in a dark dark room for a few hours. When I wake up I drink LOTS of water. I hope that information helps! I love these homey cozy vlogs btw! They are so relaxing. :)

Used to get ocular migraines as a teen, also runs in my family - got it so bad once that I couldn't see anything at all 👀 it's often worse if you're stressed or exhausted. Hopefully they aren't super common for you! Loved this relaxed vlog ❤

My son is 10 months & is still breastfed every 4 hours, but he eats 3 VERY SOLID meals a day plus sometimes a snack. We’ve done BLW since 6 months & he took off with it. He’s blown me away at how well (and how much!) he eats! With doing BLW & trying to do healthy homemade meals 3 meals a day, I do feel like I’m constantly either cooking or cleaning the kitchen 😅 I highly suggest always making double of a meal though and savings half for later for him. We try to do a full plate of food every meal so a protein & 2 sides. Breakfast is usually an assortment of eggs, turkey sausage, fruit, toast, yogurt, oatmeal, or apple sauce; and we try our best to do lunch made fresh each day and dinner leftovers or something very simple. I hope this helps for you! I know baby feeding is so complicated & everyone has their own struggles along the journey. Sending so much love and support to you and Zekey boy !

I used to get aura migraines. It sounds like what you had. They are inflammation of your nerves around the eyes. Find things like deep breathing, ice, and CBD do wonders. I also eat an anti inflammatory diet that helps prevent them. They are scary but tell yourself that nothing is happening but inflammation and it will pass. ❤

    • @darianbenton4223
      @darianbenton4223 5 месяцев назад

I have gotten them since I was young but unfortunately Ice and deep breathing don’t help me, I also have a great diet and super active. I pray one day to find something that will actually help me because I have to sit in the dark room and pray I don’t get sick for the next 6 hours. I’m happy those things help you though but I think mine just must be deeper then inflammation

My daughter Juniper is a week younger than Zeke and is breastfed, plus solids and I just say it’s definitely overwhelming and confusing at times! But I wouldn’t stress so hard on switching from formula, to milk, to all solids etc because after 1 they don’t even necessarily need milk. I was confused when starting solids since she loves food but also relies on my breast milk as well. But you figure out what works and what doesn’t l! You’re doing great and us mamas need to root each other on!!

My lo is 13 months and we've switched to whole milk when he turned one and reduced to 2x 5oz bottles per day.
Our feeding schedule is similar to this:
    6-7am - 5oz bottle
8am - breakfast: Usually one of these: porridge, avocado, eggs, pancakes, muffins + fruit.
    nap 1- 09:30 - 11
12-1pm - lunch: 1 option of each food group:: beans, rice, veggies, meat, chicken, or fish + fruit.
    2pm - 3:30 Nap 2
4pm Snack - smoothie, pancake, or cheese bread (lighter option)
    6:30 - 7pm dinner - same as lunch + fruit.
    7:45pm 5oz bottle
    8pm - sleep

Not sure if this would be something you would be interested in but a video idea you could do could be questions people have about having a 0-12 month year old. You could split it up into sections or do the whole time from birth to 1 year. I think it would be a good opportunity to share your knowledge with others! Also love the videos!

Omg I had a lot of those migraines before but never knew the name or what it was! It’s not fun at all and horrible. Prayers 🙏 and with the milk I would slowly add 1oz of milk into the forumula and keep added a oz every week or two until the formula is gone. That’s how my son got used to it. He’s 3 now and loves milk 🥛 good luck 🍀

I have a 15 month old son. before he turned one we would give him his bottle 30mins to 1 hr before his naps so he wouldn’t associate milk with nap time. when he turned 1 we switched him to whole milk. he gets 3 meals a day w/ snacks in between. Breakfast: sausage, eggs, protein pancakes, yogurt & fruit. Lunch: sandwiches using sprouted bread or crackers w/ hummus & cheese, fruit, or chickepea puffs. Dinner is usually what we have but cut up so he’s able to eat it.

My little guy is pretty much exactly a month younger than Zekey and we buy baby yogurt and fruit for breakfast so we don’t have to cook, and then for lunch and dinner we just give him what we eat or a pouch and some puffs if we don’t eat a BLW friendly meal. Also Libby’s is a brand of pre-packaged veggies in little cups, which we add to his meals all the time for easy sides when our sides aren’t friendly for him.

Love your videos btw!.. on the eating thing. My son is 15 months this month and he still takes formula because he has a hard time eating 3 meals a day. He has a tongue tie that wasn’t caught earlier and so he mouths most of his food so I kept him on about 2 bottles a day. I also know that transitioning to whole milk little Zeke may take to it better if you slowly transition him. I tried to do like 2 oz of whole the rest formula the slowly moved up to all whole. (My son actually didn’t like the whole 😂 but it was ok bc the pediatrician told em to keep him on the formula since he isn’t eating his meals!) also target has some great like veggie “nuggets” that I have heard are amazing my son did eat them before he starts just mouth the food!

Our sons are dayssssss apart so i know that feeeeeling of 12months rolling up quickly. My son is still breastfeed but i feed him on average 2 meals plus a snack here and there if he accepts it. Theee meals a day is just an overall idea some babies might not want to eat a lot of food. Just do what works for you and Zeke. With regards to whole milk, i believe your paediatrician will tell you if he can take a go at it but you will need to mix the formula with the whole milk at the beginning because he may not drink the whole milk straight. My son has the same straw cup but it took my son about 2ish months to get the hang of drinking from a straw before i got that bottle. Continue introducing the straw to him and if you have a straw show him how to drink or take a straw and add water and have him suck and when u feel his pulling release. He will get the hang of it i promise.💙
