Congrats to Mississippi State. After making it to the College World Series so many times and coming up short each time, they finally got their due. Good for them.

Will Bednar pitched as good as anyone seen in the 39 CWS's I've watched since I was a 10 yr old kid when Miami won in '82! His control and patience in the pressure of the moment was unfazed and unprecedented! Way to go Will on your absurdly legendary performance in what to me is the toughest amateur tournament and atmosphere to win! And congrats to Mississippi St on a national championship that should be more than appreciated considering all that has gone on in our world! Yes NC State came up short and deserved to maybe still be there, but that in no way should deter from Mississippi State's accomplishment! They completed their side of the bracket and dominated the defending national champion to win it all! The Bulldogs are truly legit NCAA champs

As I said, been a die-hard CWS fan going back to 1982 as a 10-yr old and the sea of MSU school colors exceeded anything I'd ever seen in Omaha! To me it made the atmosphere that much better considering what this country has been through for the last 16 months

The NCAA is to personally blame for the Wolfpack's unjust exit! At least Mississippi St did win their side and win the title! Omaha annually is the end of what to me is the most difficult road to navigate of any amateur sporting event in collegiate athletics! Being the only one where you hafta win three separate brackets to achieve your goal! Mississippi St Bulldogs natty well and hard earned! Omaha is also to me the best championship event! I always look most forward every season and moreso after last year was cancelled! 2021's did not disappoint either! Extra glad it was back! College World Series forever #1

Good for MSU. They’ve been at the brink of winning the CWS for several years. Their baseball program is the only real threat to winning a National Championship in a major sport. The definitely earned it.

To be quite honest during that stretch the way this Mississippi St team was playing together in all facets with equal precision, they could have competed with any of those other SEC national champions

RE: Michael Taylor. He looked (VA player) safe to me also. BUT one of the first things hot learn in referee school is that you can’t make an accurate call from the stands or much less from a general TV shot.. you have to be part of the play and umpires, referees,etc. are definitely part of the play. I am a MSU grad. And I sure was glad to see them bring home the championship.

That wouldn't surprise me at all. This year they were men with a mission. That it was sidelined shouldn't change that. If anything, how it ended should inspire the heck out of the team to repeat and complete the mission next year.

No, there shouldn’t. If you bunt in the bottom of the ninth, with two outs, down by nine runs, with only one hit in the entire game, I don’t think you deserve the base hit in any way and are out by principle.
