Hi G, earlier I asked if you carry a spare wheel, well DAAA!! I just found your episode and watched it. I have now ordered one online from Braumach for my Atto3. I didn't want to wait for the RAC on my next trip to Albany and Donnybrook on gravel roads. Good video once again.
You mentioned about not knowing what the tweezers or eye bolt are used for. The tweezers are used to remove the plastic cover on the wheel locking nuts and I think the eye bolt is for towing purposes. I think the spare wheel is better than the repair gear supplied and I will look into buying one however I will lose the space available for charging cables unless I build up the floor compartment which is not ideal as I need the height for my electric bike storage. Maybe I can buy the storage bin in the engine compartment for my cables. Thanks again for your informative video. Cheers Brett
Thanks for that. I guessed the eye bolt and my brother said the same about the tweezers! Have you got a Frunk yet? You can put your cables in there ( at least most of them if you have more than one ) I can fit two cables, plus a heavy duty extension cord easily. The other option for a spare is a tow rack. They are pricey though and can be a bit fiddly to open. There's a company called Mirack in Perth where I bought one for my Outlander. Was well over $1000-00 though. They have quite a range of different ones but not sure if they even do one for an Atto 3 yet. Don't forget there is room for cables around the spare tyre as well, but I like the frunk, especially if you are carrying lots of luggage and don't want to unpack!
Thank you for the video. I am planning on purchasing a full size spare. maybe the booth floor might rise a couple of inches but atleast there will be peace of mind for my long travel journeys
Yep they ain't cheap that's for sure! In hindsight it's probably cheaper to just get a spare tyre off a wrecked RAV 4, I believe they will fit the Atto 3

You're welcome!
Very interesting. A subject that's not talked about much. I wonder if they'll do a Seal spare tyre down the track.
Check out the website...they will probably do one in the future
This is not from BYD but a 3rd party provider. Tesla Tom had a review on his channell ruclips.net/video/RW8X2kfekhM/видео.html
