- A number of homes were in serious danger of being swept into the lake as waves eroded the beach at an alarming rate last year: abc7chicago.com/weather/bever...
My wife and I use to go there over 50 years ago. There was erosion then, and there will be erosion 50 years from now. It was dumb to build so close to the lake and expect everyone to feel sorry for you. Nature is going to win.
Rich people problems
Look at all the pretty boulders covering up that ugly sand.
Where is Beverly Shores? Is it Illinois or Michigan?
Right next to the dunes in indiana
Thank you
I use to go there by Indiana Dunes.
Then we discovered Michigan.
How's the air coming from the BP refinery and the steel mill?
So the taxpayers are paying to protect lakeshore homes?
Erosion due to water being itself is a natural process in the life cycle of the Great Lakes. Perhaps architects and builders should not be so eager to place buildings - of any price or prestige point - in a danger zone. (E.g., Falling Water is now an elephant existing on the Western PA Conservancy/national parks/taxpayers’ expense account. No one wants to personally own and foot the bill for the foundation’s concrete slabs that are constantly cracking and peeling off with the waterfall’s freeze and thaw cycles. IMHO, NOT sustainable design.).
One more thing for everyone can anyone concentrated the environment go first the environment great again that is the future that everyone needs to concentrate for that for the past of Mother Earth it was great funny present it was less but in the future it is going to be something new
