Sweet Erica......this painting is so beautiful and unique....you are so God gifted with your art talent!! love the added touches of spray paint as it makes the original blow out stand out like a 3D image....so enjoying these unique pieces.....Love Gramma Donna
I love it. Another artist that uses spray paint is Artist Til Death. They have so many different types of nozzles so you can get the look you want. So many things you can do with this.
I love it, the colors are stunning even before you put the spray paint on but I like it with the spray paint it kind of lightens up the background. It's gorgeous hands down.
I love it … no you should never ever stop until either you’re hearts content or you’ve learnt something new, even if thats what not to do in the future lol because even that’s better than knowing you let fear stop you or you’re left wondering what if ….
You paint in your style, you make it your own. However you achieve it, that's yours. Only two types of painting, what you like and what you don't, have fun, all the best John
I absolutely love this piece. The spray paint took the painting to whole new level with depth and creativity. I have bought the marble spray paint and just wasn't sure how I would apply it to my art, but you have helped me to see the possibilities. Thank you for sharing.
Erica, My Friend, This painting is absolutely amazing!!! I love all of your paintings! I thought the blowout was awesome by itself but with the addition of the spray paint, it added a very special touch and something I hadn't seen before. Yes, I would definitely like to see more. Wishing you a safe and happy weekend! Hugs!
I think it turned out beautifully. I think that when you first applied the spray paint just at the edges, it was cool because it looked kind of like a light shining through the pour to me. You really could have stopped there imo, but the end result is gorgeous! I paint also so I might play with the whole light source idea myself. Thanks for the inspiration! 😂😘. PS: I hope you resin this cuz the depth in it is amazing.
This is gorgeous! I love the spray paint, particularly the marble one at the end. It just added some more interest to your black negative space!! I think if you sprayed it on the actual paint, it would take away from the bling of your piggies though. I could never do that, my husband does my spray painting, I have a bit of a heavy finger on the trigger!! You can buy an attachment for spray paints so it's used more like a spray bottle instead of using the little button. I definitely need one of those to spray paint.
You’re so innovative Erica!! I love this before and after but after is my fave!! I was nervous for you!! We’re gonna have a blast in Delray Beach!! Woohoo!
I thought it is after midnight so I will watch someone paint to make me sleepy. Oh, Erica is up, you are always calm. No! Now I am off to paint, I couldn’t be more awake if I tried. This is beautiful, thank you. ❤️
This is beautiful. I think it looked amazing with just the first corner you spray painted. Kinda looked like it was catching light right there. But it looks beautiful just like all of your work.
Hi Erica, the first part of the painting was beautiful, but the finishing with the spaying later made it magnificent, you are a inspiration for me, thank you so much💗💗
I love the final look and the added bits! I bet it’s even more gorgeous in person! I just ordered several cans of the Montana Black spray paints and their varnish but haven’t used them yet! Now very excited to do so! See you in a few weeks! 🤗
I liked it before you sprayed. However after the spray it still looked good. I am more for the minimalist approach. I don't paint in oils any more but I found, and learned, that you can go too far with an oil painting and you must know when to stop ... when the painting 'is done'. I think the same applies to acrylics, which I now use. But it still comes down to what the artist sees. Nice, and I have subscribed.
Love this art and your talent. Right away I think of Champaign...celebration. I really like the colors you used and the extra accents you added. Fabulous job, Erika!! You have put a spark in me to want to try this technique. Thank you I hope to do that soon. Keep sharing your gift with the world.
Wow! Beautiful all of the way around. Loved watching you create it, the colors, the piece before you sprayed and after! Just draws me in GORGEOUS! Thanks for sharing. God Bless❤
Great enhancement idea and technique! I think it's gonna help me salvage some fluid paintings that I didn't like once dried, but that I kept "just in case". Thank you so much
