What i like what Bayani implemented ‘tapat mo, linis mo’ on its citizenry. Its not just cleaning ( yung pulidong paglinis) your frontyard of your house and nearby surroundings, its the discipline ( pulido) ingrained on each and every neighbor and in so doing, being proud of their city
there is no reason why Marikina is like Japan in the Philippines, in terms of quality of living, infrastructure and facilities, highest standard in all aspects: air, land and water, balance of greeneries and commercial areas, discipline people, transparent government, preserving culture and economically growth.
ang mga street sweeper sa marikina hindi lang allowance nakukuha nyan kundi buong sahod, employed sila as project based. empleyado na sila hindi lang basta volunteers.
This was the handiwork of Bayani Fernando, who dreamed big for Marikina. This was followed through by other mayors that came after him

Maruming tignan lang kasi ang mga lumang buildings at bahay lalo na ang mga spagetti cables.

In terms of cleanliness, orderliness, good city management, citizenry discipline, marikina is tops! Wala nyan sa Quezon City!
