When in the Navy Crispy Creams would deliver several boxes of doughnuts to the quarter deck during the "dog watch". I would get a half gallon of milk from the mess decks and the officer, The petty officer of the watch and me would eat at least half of a box.

I think they still around but not in the U.K. I actually have a bakery 1.5 miles away and they do incredible donuts but they open at 5.30am and if you want the good stuff, you gotta get there before 7am. Otherwise you go without. Between me and the internet, I’m feeling a certain way, towards my local bakery. Why? Well, remember I said you have to get there before 7am or you out of luck? Well, 1 morning, I decided to try my luck, around 10am and as I expected, nothing good left and I ended up crashing my e scooter, just as I drove away from Bakery. It was a nightmare. The bloke was a proper prick about it. Demanding money now or he’ll call police. Some people have no communication skills or manners .

It looks like delicious whale blubber. The best yeast donuts I HAVE EVER had were from Shipley's Donuts in Vicksburg, MS. They were in business over 60 years. They sold the company right before I left. They weren't the same after that😢😢😢😢. I STILL dream about those donuts.
