I got baptized when I was 28 or 29 years old, I was serious in that moment, then I backslid and was wishy washy with my walk. I recently beat alcoholism and re-dedicated my life to Jesus. I wasn’t sure if I should get baptism again. Thanks for this video!

I'm thinking about doing it because I've been wishy washy in the past and have been lead astray with alcohol abuse and cigarette addiction, which I have been delivered from both now. I'm taking it more seriously than I ever have in the past and I'm 29.

Who says...? Only God knows the answer and I'm sure he would be happy if we all baptized ourselves everyday as a physical act in recognition of Roman 6 3-4. There is a profound spiritual connection experienced by those who actually do the immersion in a natural environment such is a fresh water loch surrounded by God's Cathedrals the mountains created by his 👋. Man cannot create what God has already created. Amen!

If you where Baptized as an infant or kid you don't need to be baptized again. If you feel that you don't know your faith it's not your fault it's your parents fault because at baptism they asked god for your baptism and promised to teach you and raise you in his church. Unless you are born of water and spirit you shall not enter the kingdom of God. So now that you have been back in church don't give up. Pick up your Cross and follow Jesus like he says in the Bible.

If your baptism as a child was done correctly - In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit - It doesn’t make sense to do it again. Can only be baptized once.

So I don’t think that at the time I was baptized as a adult I was truly saved. I don’t think I truly repented and didn’t understand dying to self. However two years ago I had to come to terms that either I was going to hell it I’d have to put my trust in Jesus. I didn’t want to live my old lifestyle I wanted a new heart, which is why I think I need to get baptized again. I notice after that prayer two years ago that I’ve grown and seen changes in my thinking and attitude. What are your thoughts?

I’m at this point right now, I want to be saved and I am tired of my current life style where I live in fear all the time. I want to get batptized again. I really think it would help me, and I hope it helped you.

@@InTimeMiami Hello. Thank you for reading my post. When I first got baptized, even though I did not fully understand repentance like I do today, I still had faith in the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I don’t see a need in being baptized a second time being that water baptism does nothing to save us. Water baptism is just an illustration of what has already taken place in our hearts. It’s a picture to the world that we have been buried like Christ in our sins but raised to NEW life. When we are born again, we become a new creature. So water baptism is just our outward confession to the world that we have been made new.
You stated that you wanted to be saved. True repentance is key. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin and it’s up to us to choose to turn from a life of sin and ask Jesus to give you a new heart that desires to do what is right. Then put your trust in the finished work of the cross. Jesus died for your sins. Took your punishment and extends His righteousness onto you if you are willing to accept that free gift in faith. Trust that He died for you and rose again for you and change your mind and heart about living for yourself. Choose to follow Jesus. Jesus is faithful and promises that once you do that then you will be born again with a new heart and the promise of eternal life! His Holy Spirit will live in you and will continue to begin a good work in you. He will continue to change you and guide you and equip you!
God is good and His word is true. ❤️
We are saved by faith alone it is not of works not anything we could ever do to earn it. Jesus does the work in us. In face it’s by His grace alone that any of us would even be open to the truth because our flesh is so corrupt. Our flesh is at war with the Spirit.
      I hope this helps you.

If you’re unsure or uncertain, search the scriptures for wisdom and pray about it. I believe what you do should be done out of faith and by faith.(I myself still need wisdom on this though so always go back to God and the word for what you hear from others) I think you should do it knowing you’ve already decided to repent and turn to Jesus and accepted Him as saviour of your sins and as your Lord who you want to obey, you one out of love for Him because of what He did for you on the cross and rose from the dead in the third day. You do it because God says so in His word and you love Him for what He did for you and want to obey Him because of that.
But Pray about it and here’s some verses that may shed light on your situation, I believe that understanding baptism and why you’re getting baptised is important rather than just doing it out of ignorance, (God warns us about lack of knowledge in Hosea 4:6)
It's like tithing if I just give money to the church without any understanding that the tithe belongs to God and should be returned to him and helps spread the gospel of Christ, and don't have any understanding or revelation of what it actually is, what point is that? I need to understand so I can give God the praise he deserves and know that giving is taking part in the kingdom. But the most important thing above all these things is your relationship with God and spending time with Him. (Matthew 6:33, Luke 10:38-42)
Baptism is your funeral/ burial of your old self and saying that you're raised to new life with Christ. Colossians 2:12 "For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.". More scriptures on baptism. Acts 2:41, Matthew 28:19, acts 2:38.
Also consider all the wisdom spoken about it in this video
Romans 4 is a different topic but I think it’s a good thing to read❤️‍🩹
But may the love of the Father draw you to Himself everyday and that you continue to fight to believe in the truth. God bless you ❤

God loves you (1 john 4:9, John 3:16, gal 3:13-14): He sent His Son to die for you, to forgive your sins, paid in full. He sent His Holy Spirit to you if you accepted Christ in your heart. Don’t let the enemy seem bigger than the God who lives in you. (Look up 1 John 4:4).
Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,
You are saved by God’s grace, by what Christ did on the cross for you and rose from the dead. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭8‬-‭10‬. You were saved and have been granted a place in heaven not because of you, but because of Him and what He’s done. Let God love you so that you can obey out of love for what He did, not out of fear that comes from the enemy trying to make you perform when Christ has already paid it and loves you fully and wants to make you holy in your sanctification journey everyday. It’s a walk/journey not a destination, so be patient with yourself and have grace just like God has grace for you. The devil is a liar, and accuser and a deceiver.
To explain baptism to you, it’s basically your funeral / burial of your old self that died after you believed and turned to Christ and turned away from sin. And showing that you have been made new in Christ and are raised up with him to new life( look at col 2:12. You can also look at acts 2:48, Matthew 28:19, acts 2:41.)
If you’re still reading this message😅 please I encourage you to read Romans 4 it has many truths that will set you free in your mind with this.❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹
1 Cor 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
Romans 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”
Jesus rose from the dead and is by the right hand of your Heavenly Father and sent His Holy Spirit to you.
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. No, I will not abandon you as orphans-I will come to you. But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative-that is, the Holy Spirit-he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.”
      ‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭16‬-‭18‬, ‭26‬ ‭
May God heal you in every way in your heart, may He give you grace to understand His love and let that love cast out the fear. May God be your safety and refuge. May the truth set you free from strongholds and mindsets that keep you from God (see John 8:36, 2 Cor 10:4, Romans 12:2). and May His comfort be with you and may the He give you grace to overcome your battles as you walk with Him and He with you.
If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself. 2 Timothy 2:13
I love you but Jesus loves you more. God bless❤️‍🩹
(I find that sometimes I also get fearful but I noticed I got scared because I haven’t been reading the Bible and have truth about God and who he is when I struggle and hurt and going through the most. But when you read the Bible and just slow and be still in silence with Him for a bit and know that He’s God, changes things… to fear God is not to run away from Him but to be afraid from leaving Him and being apart from Him❤️‍🩹.
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.-John 14:1)
“I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”
      ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭20‬ ‭
I pray that our Father in heaven who loves you as his dear child guides you in His will for your life and I pray that you will continue to fight to believe the truth about Him and about who you are in Christ. I plead the blood of Jesus over you, your mind, your family, and any situation you may be going through. In Jesus name amen.

    • @Chelsea-xb4hk
      @Chelsea-xb4hk 2 месяца назад

You should. Your baby “baptism” was basically your parents dedicating you to teach you in the ways of God as parents.
But when you grow older and have understanding of sin you can choose to repent and turn to Jesus so after you make that decision you need to get baptised as soon as you can. (You get baptised because you were saved already when you accepted Jesus into your heart, and accepting him as your Saviour of your sins who rose from the dead on the third day, and as your Lord who you follow and you want to obey him)
In the Bible in Greek the word baptizo means immerse or submerge. So you have to have a spirit-filled believer submerge you in the water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,)
To explain baptism to you, it’s basically your funeral / burial of your old self that died after you believed and turned to Christ and turned away from sin. And showing that you have been made new in Christ and are raised up with him to new life(See Colossians 2:12)
Baptism is basically a sign showing that you’re choosing to follow Jesus and His ways, that you identify yourself with the death of Christ and that your old self is dead, so you’re burying your dead self in baptism, saying that your old self has died, and you have been raised to new life with Him.
“For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.”
      ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭12‬
Getting baptised is obedience to the Lord once you’re a new believer (or even if you already accepted Christ but have not yet been baptised before)…., so if you haven’t yet, ask for someone in your church if there’s someone who can dunk you as soon as possible!! You can also look up acts 2:41 and acts 2:48
May the Lord search your heart and the Father’s love grow you closer to Himself everyday❤ God bless you

This is really bad advice. It shows a very poor understanding of what Baptism does. It makes it sound as if you have to earn baptism.
Baptism is a miracle. It is a powerful Sacrament. When you get baptized as a week old infant or as 99 year old , it accomplishes the same results. And you only do it once. This is consistent with Sacred Scripture.

    • @Gabe9412
      @Gabe9412 18 часов назад

What about Mark 16:16, which says that "He who believes and is baptized will be saved"? This includes believing as a vital part of baptism, which makes it a decision, not something you can do to an infant. If you're a month old how are you going to believe in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? You don't even understand who He is.

Baptism is a Ritual. It is a Sacrament that washes away Original Sin, and every other sin that had been committed up to that point.
There is abundant proof that the Church has always Baptized infants. Read the Early Church Fathers.
Just as infants were circumcised on the eighth day under the Old Covenant , Baptism is called The Circumcision of Christ - Col 2:11-12. In fact, during a Church Council held in North Africa in the 3rd Century, St Cyprian declared that Christians need not wait till the 8th day to baptize infants. The Early Church saw in Baptism what the Israelites saw in circumcision. : The Sacrament of initiation into God’s Covenant People.
Our Lord did not deny children. Matt 19:14 - “Let the children come to me.” Luke 18:17 - “ whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it. “. In the book of Acts, entire households were Baptized. Acts 16:15. Acts 18:8. Acts 16:30-33. 1 COR 1:16.
