As a panthers fan I’ll always love this playoff run. Obviously we came up short in the end and went on to win the cup this year but coming out of nowhere for this run and upsetting the greatest team of all time and pushing all the way to the cup finals with an extremely shallow roster was just so special.

That East Final last year was so much fun to watch. Maybe one of the most fun series I've ever seen. I know it was a sweep but it was far more dramatic than most series that go 5 or 6 games.

Boston was the best regular season team of all time. Not the greatest team of all time. That was proven in the post season . And I’ll always love this season as well as a Vegas fan😉 lol . I truly believe if we had gotten past Dallas it would’ve been a rematch in the final this past year but obviously wasn’t meant to be. I rooted for you guys though in the final. So glad you saved us from hearing those Oiler fans for the next 20 years 😂 congrats again on your cup win.

Adin Hill's spectacular paddle save was the defining moment of the 2023 Cup Final. After that save, it felt like Vegas was destined to win, much like how the Capitals were destined to win after Holtby's save in 2018.

Two of the teams are Boston teams (Bruins & Pats), in baseball it's a tie (Cubs & Seattle with 116) and in basketball a few years back with the Oakland Warriors.

I've seen some first round collapses including my Wings in 2006 against Edmonton but a 65 win Boston team blowing a 3-1 series lead including blowing Game 7 in the final minute before OT had my mouth agape. I don't even care for Boston and I still can't believe how they lost it. The Urinating Tree video on it is also legendary. Say what you will against the 2016 Golden State Warriors but they at least got to the Finals before choking.

After missing the playoffs, Vegas was proving everyone wrong a year later. If you're a Vegas fan, you love to see it.
That said, to all of the Vegas haters out there: yes, they've pretty much had success since day 1. That said, their success isn't going to last forever. There will come a time when it will end. It happens to every team. Think of the Avalanche after moving from Quebec City. They didn't really know what losing was until the late 2000s.
