I just moved into a new home in zone 7a. There are several hydrangeas in the existing landscape with great blue blooms. But there is one large hydrangea near the back deck with excellent foliage and no blooms. I’m hoping it’s a sun/shade issue. I plan on moving it to a better location in September rather than toss it. I’ll give it a chance despite this being the best year for hydrangeas in a long while.

Hi ! A few months ago i pruned a Pinnacle hydrangea tree and i planted the stick it took. The plant is about 8 inches tall and it has a full size bloom ! One flower thats about the size of the plant. Is that normal? I have 2 of them. Looking forward to your thoughts !!! Thank you

Hi there! It’s tough to give specific advice without knowing your planting zone, the variety and particulars on soil and sun exposure. I would refrain from pruning this year and let it get established. Happy gardening & thank you for watching!
