I totally enjoyed your analysis and opinion. This is why I follow you. I learn. As a student of financial history that also linked the series' characters and plots to historical events and characters, I must say that your breakdown shows the importance of understanding the capital markets, the law, and psychology. And I know there is much more. Please continue.
Finally the YT algorithm recommended something excellent 👏 Liked that the review was backed up with info to help the non-finance viewer understand the show + the world of hedge funds a bit better. I hope you do more of this type of content in future.

I've been following and been a student of yours for years. This reaction video was honestly brilliant I was educated and enjoyed every minute of it. So more Billions reactions, they are fantastic.
Chris this is amazing ! Been watching the Billion series and wondered if its all accurate and true. Thank you for the insights. Would love to see you react to more movies related to the world of finance, business or even biographies.
No kidding Chris! Please keep bringing this type of insights. Your comments on "context", "real life" and "political environment" are as exiting as some of the statements the actors in the series are making! Love your show about the "shows"!
This is a real good analysis coming from a guy who actually worked in the industry. Also one more thing, the breaking of laws, most laws are faulty and made by paid up lawmakers to prosecute people and get votes and stuff, not everyone who breaks the law is a bad person, its a 50-50 game.
Really entertaining and educative! I knew this would be amazing right from when you mentioned it on the livestream. It helps drive a lot of your teachings home and I can't wait to see more as I have also just started watching the series (Billions) alongside.
Thank you for this video! I've rewatched this show sooo many times, I'm a huge fan! So glad you validate the quality 👏🏽 really enjoyed this so I'm your new subscriber 😁

Great video. I worked at RR Donnelley (division is now Donnelley Capital Markets) for eleven years. I spent eight years then working as a vendor inside BNY Mellon. I used to vomit blood constantly in those years. Now I'm in the legal service world.
Excellent! Thanks for this. My desire to talk about/read about this show has been much greater than my opportunities ever since the show began. IMO, this is one of the best things ever on TV. Sadly, Covid and the loss of Damien were a terrible disruption in Season 5, and I pretty much fell off the wagon. I have only watched a few bits of 5, a tiny bit of 6, and am waiting to see if it is all over. If not, I will definitely see if the show and I can get back on track. It was put together by immensely talented people so I have to allow for the possibility that they may regain the heights, as difficult as that is. My favorite moment in the great seasons 1-4 was -- I think in Season 2 -- when an episode had reached a dramatic and emotional high point, and they came with Johnny Cash singing, "A Legend in my Time." Also, really enjoyed the recurring Yale theme with the crazy fact that Paul Gimatti really was a Yalie and his father a president of Yale. Also really, really loved the Jock Jeffcoat character (Clancy Brown) and, especially, his talk about breeding horses and that stallion with the "rager" that they sent in to get the mare ready. Yes, give us more!
This was a very unique perspective the way you talked about things. Really interesting. I usually love the technical aspects of these things but this might've been a bit too dry for me. But grateful you made it nonetheless.
This play by play on this was informative Chris well done! The other night I watched the movie: “Too big to fail” and I think Paul Giamatti nails the role of a government employee in that movie as well!
Thanks Alex. I love that movie and I always recommend my students to watch it in order to understand what happened in 2008. God bless William Hurt who played a great Paulson in the flick. I think that Giamatti was so darn good in that movie, that it was a no brainer for Billions to cast him as Chuck Rhodes. He was born to play Berknanke!

GREAT ANALYSIS & INSIGHT into Hedge funds business. People put some politicians and government officials on their side and think law and administration is on their side, but not for long. Most easy money is easy come easy go. The faster one builds fortune by unethical means, the faster it all dries up. And in the process of all this, the economy and small investors take the hit.
