- Our journey continues to Iligan City which is surprisingly FULL of waterfalls! We met James a local Filipino who showed us a secret access point into Tinago Falls, one of the areas most famous waterfalls in Lanao Del Norte that has been closed for a WHOLE YEAR.
We nearly missed out on this place but thanks to the lovely staff at Linaw River Retreat where we stayed, we got the local tips and information that we needed to get in.

Our names are Jmayel, Sacha & Story. We traveled to Siargao island with Jmayel's mum & Story's grandma just before the Global pandemic that sent the whole planet into quarantine. We got stranded for months and fell in love with island life, now we want to make that life more permanent.

True. i can vouch that. been to many places in mindanao. camiguin, dahilayan in bukidnon, sikyop river cave in lanao del norte, lake sebu in south cotabato and asikasik falls in north cotabato.
Story is so lucky to have u both as her parents. At the early age she was enjoying her life and trip every minute of her life. As she will grow up she have all those beautiful places to reminisce..

Oh finally, you've visited Iligan City, The City of Waterfalls. I think they have 23 waterfalls Tinago and Ma. Cristina are one of them. There's a cold spring along the highway named Timoga. The water in the swimming pools are overflowing...
Mindanao is such an underrated part of the Philippines...all I see and hear are the negative part of it..so glad you guys are showing there is more to Mindanao than what shown in the news. Thank you 🙏🏼❤️

It's been said that when someone you love has recently passed, they'd communicate with you through a rainbow. It's their way of saying they're okay and happy where they are now. That message is from Eden. She wanted you to be there so she can send you her message. It appeared as soon as you got there. It happened to my sis who lost her teenage daughter in a car accident . A day after she was buried, they went to the park where she was buried to bring her flowers. They were pleasantly surprised by a double rainbow while there. Btw, She and her bf both died from that car crash. So they believe those 2 rainbows were from the both of them. I do too.

Kumander Daot and 8miles from home really make me want to visit Mindanao! Didn't know it's such a beautiful beautiful place! Stuck in Manila all my life and so many parts in Mindanao just look like paradise! The mix of mountain, ricefields and water forms. Really just wow.
I bet you are scared about Mindanao because of some isolated conflicts but some not not all the time.Look at this foreigners they are having a great time and really appreciate our country.

Not really scared, because I have lots of friends from Mindanao and I really hear good stories from them 😊 But didn't know that it's this beautiful! :D I have never been to Visayas either, although really mesmerized by Finn Snows vlogs as well. One of my Tausug friends said that the best beach she has seen so far is in their place. Now I m very curious to see what's there.
But yeah, we're super lucky that many foreigners showcase our country with these really nice drone shots. Just amazing. Makes me happy to be a citizen in our beautiful country despite all the other problems we have 😊
Ask ur tausug friend to bring you to tawitawi.. the beach there is like the maldives. Tawitawi is a safe place to visit.

Wow, I may be living in Wellington 🇳🇿 but can still remember this place, I’m originally from Butuan City and went to MSU-Marawi back in 1996 to study, I would say I’ve been to Tinago Falls three times and I can still remember the 365 steps and the struggle was real going up 😂😂😂😂

Tinago Falls! Good that you were able to check it out. I was able to see it years ago, the main thing that I remember was the trek, they have proper stairs now. Maria Cristina falls is bigger, the water might be lesser though as it has a Hydropower plant on it.
Oh my God, a rainbow in a waterfall up close! Very rare moment. Story is so lucky to see the rainbow up close and in a beautiful waterfall. Eden could be in that rainbow saying "Hello. I will just be here for all of you, guiding and looking over all of you my beloved family." God bless and keep safe all :-)

You have to visit camiguin island which is just a boat ride from cagayan de oro city.

you should go to Camiguin Island thay have it all hot sping ,cold sping, volcanos, under water cementery and waterfalls ask junjun coz you passed it on the way to iligan city stay safe .

Been there befrore but its not like that..and its amazing they develop the place. Its great that they have stairs now before its hard to go down and up because just to go down you have to struggle on the branches and bushes of the forest.I want to back there soon.. When our kids were younger, years ago, they would climb the steep sides of Tinago Falls and then jump into the pond. You should have gone near the falls to experience the mist touching your body...That place is really beautiful!

when i was a kid every vication when i stay at my aunt place in iligan city ( they made and repair shoes belt in the main city ) we always go swim in timoga springs
