One of the advantages of Wing Chun is,it works/deal's with the center line of the opponent better than any other style I've ever seen and it more"getting to the point"than other styles and I really like the kick's in it.

I think that is why Joe taught it to me. I lived in Irving Texas and I would ride my Kawy 90 down to Shawnee Trace in Grand Prairie twice a week to learn and practice. I never worked out on his muk jon. I liked the real thing, feeling the other persons wrest or fore arm slightly move. I helped Joe with new people. After three years, Joe said I had the rank of sihing. I asked him if I could teach Wing Chun to others, and he said yes. This was after Joe told me he was moving away to a state I think may have been Idaho. He showed me a broucher of the trailer park he was moving to. looked beautiful. I agree . I feel the same. Its in your blood. Oh, and I only taught my son when he was about three years old. Just simple pok souh. I am too lazy to get up and check my spelling. Its in James Lee's book. I still have it.

I have heard people put down Wing Chun, TKD and Aikido, as of late. But they should think on this,...If they were to take up boxing,...would they be the next Mike Tyson???? If they were to take up Muay Thai, would they be the next champion?
If the answer is "No", then why do they keep comparing one martial art to another? It makes no sense. To say that Martial art (Insert name here) is bad because NO UFC fighters use it, is ridiculous.
No UFC fighters use boxing, with HUGE gloves on. But I am pretty sure that Mike Tyson feels like he can defend himself in a street fight (He actually broke his hand once in a street fight with another boxer).
If we KNEW what style or system was the Very Best for self defense,...we would all take it. But like this guy (Randy Williams) says,....It must be a good fit for YOU!!
There will always be a better fighter than YOU! There will always be a better STYLE than the one you are taking!!
If you enjoy playing football with your family, but you are not good enough to play in the NFL, would you stop playing because of that?
Take a Martial Art that draws you to it and see if you like it. See if it protects you. If not,...move on to something else. No knowledge is ever wasted. Even if it is the knowledge that the style you chose was a wrong fit for you. Because when you finally find the one that fits you, you would have side stepped a lot of land mines. And be able to move much quicker in the ranks of THAT martial art that you have chosen.

Joe and I did not see ourselves as anything but sinners. He was a Seventh Day Adventist. He set me up to be baptized at a Church of Christ there in Grand Prairie. He was a nice guy.

I chose wing Chun. Because Bruce Lee learned the principles that introduced Martial arts in the world.

Oh not that overly marketed guy again who said that Wing Chun is part of the 'classical mess'....Bruce Lee is no longer relevant to this modern day....he was just among the first but we have moved on from that now!

It is actually sad that his whole life was completely wrapped around wing chun, that he never included other aspects of life, nothing academic, no literature or fine arts, nothing outside of being adored by mouth-breathers.
