Thoroughly enjoyed my first Diesel Gala as a TTI on the Sunday. Ended up sitting at Arley for a good while but both passengers and staff were very friendly.
A well edited film. Excellent stuff. Hope that we see more of the 17, 37 and Warship in the future.

Great weekend. Really liked the variety. Would be good though to borrow the P way department's modern(ish) ballast wagons to create a freight train for one of the gala's. The steam gala has a goods train special so why not the diesel gala.
Cos there isn't room, the diesel galas are more popular than steam galas and feature more trains, so there simply isn't room in the scheduling for a freight train that barely carries any passengers

I think you meant Deltic. Unfortunately there wasn't one available to loan out to the Severn Valley Railway. We have however had them at previous gala's and occasionally had special rail tour ones come in off the main line at Kidderminster and head to Bridgenorth and back on some weekends.
It's a shame they repaint in the Old British Railways-liveries!..
