Saw this band at Zepp DiverCity in October. (For that matter, saw violinist Ayasa with Lovebites vocalist Asami both backing a J-Pop vocalist in July.) EoE were tight, really impressive. They have an album coming out in March of the Oct. concert, with 13 songs. Five of those songs are on a mini-album out Dec. 20. Lovebites and Band-Maid connections with EoE: Mao Yamamoto, who's often worked with LB, and MV director Naoki Takeyama, who does LBs' vdos, were involved in "Evolve". Violinist Ayasa and vocalist Asami of LB are buddies and have often worked together, most recently both backing a J-Pop singer on tour in the summer. Guitarist Yuki's sister is married to a Japanese recording engineer based in New York and he did the sound engineering for B-M Miku and Saiki's vocals in "The Dragon Cries". Vocalist Akane was in the group Predia, who were with the same management agency as Band-Maid, and Predia did some shows with B-M over the years; also Akane was in the Mochi to Cheese side project with B-M's Akane and Kanami. Bassist Wakazaemon has been in not only Marty Friedman's band but also Max the Hormone's "spin-off" band コロナナモレモモ (cottelee). She's often worked with Tamu of Nemophila, and she and Tamu and violinist Ayasa played together in a special session band at the Roland Players Summit in Tokyo last year Oct. Drummer Mizuki has played in Lonesome Blue (I also saw their 1st live show, and they were nowhere near as good as EoE) and has backed PassCode and LoVendoЯ, among many other artists/groups.
East of Eden knocked it out of the park on their first song. A super group indeed. The violinist’s playing is divine. Akane’s vocals are even more impressive live, unbelievably good. Yuki’s guitar work is always excellent. The bassist is spectacular, she steals the show on their second song.
Ayasa, the violinist and band "leader", is amazing. I was lucky enough to see her live with yucat and YASHIRO in October and it was awesome. EOE's first concert is coming out on blu-ray and DVD in March.
The lead singer, Akane Minato, was the main singer in the adult idol group Predia for 11 years before they disbanded in 2022. She's done a few other small projects as well, and has sung the national anthem at Japanese baseball games more than once.
Bass player Wakazaemon is a very popular session player similar to Murata Tamu was from Nemophila before she joined a band. They both have played together for Daisuke Kurosawa another talented Japanese metal guitarist. The singer Akane is a freak. What you hear here is what you get live. To be fair every other band member is also a freak of musical talent. There you go. Japan is the orgasm for the ears for musicians world wide.
Awwww, this is fun. A new supergroup! Most of the members have day jobs, so it’s not clear this is more than a project, but we’ll see. The hook? This is a metal band built around a violinist. To top it off, she plays a custom five-string violin. I’d say that qualifies as metal. Violin: Ayasa (currently with Morphonica) Guitar: Yuki (founder and co-lead in D-Drive) Bass: Wakazaemon (bassist with Marty Friedman and other projects) Drums: Mizuki (x Lonesome Blue) Vocals: Akane Minato (x Predia, several other groups) Two songs posted to date, huge potential! It was predictable you would lose your shit over this one!
apparently, it's inevitable for Mr.RNR getting into EoE been waiting for this reaction video, welcome to the Eden, Mr.RNR... it seems Ayasa's violin is more to be violence for you, LoL... well this happens when you combine five powerful goddess together. have another journey in the East of Eden, you may need to take another stop to enjoy *this moment* 🤘🎻
That's a hell of an intro to a band isn't it. I got here in reverse order from your second reaction to this band. They're yet another solid entry in the j-rock arena. Where would we be without it all? Fascinating to learn of the threads which connect the bands we love so much.. thanks @otobokegaijin6218 for that interesting collage! I would've loved to see Ayasa and Asami working together!
Good aren't they? 😁 Don't worry mate, just another Japanese super group, all of them well established musicians with other bands. It's like they decided to get together for a jam session, thought "that sounds OK, let's do an album!" (Still in the works, possibly). Meanwhile this one is fast closing on the magic million views. They have multiple connections with Lovebites (writing credits), Band-Maid members and Lonesome Blue, there aren't many degrees of separation in the J-Rock scene.
This song slaps, he still needs to see fearless by rolling quartz Fun fact the violinist her name Is Ayasa and she is featured in a song called Parallel World by Lonsome Blue which is also a girl band but ALSO Asami from lovebites wrote the lyrics for that same song.
I also wanted to know what it is about Japanese food that makes the musicians so talented (especially in classical music) and the women so beautiful.!! 😂😂😂
The violinist is good, but my love is still for Jill from Unlucky Morpheus. [Official Live Video] Unlucky Morpheus「その魂に安らぎを ~ Dignity of Spirit」 ruclips.net/video/x7W9DcUKY_U/видео.html
in my opinion, the only non-perfect thing is a part that feels cutted (because it was), it drives me nuts, if it wasnt for that, this would be for me a perfect song still great, amazing but not perfect

Japan never fails to disappoint when it comes to the music!
I think you meant to say "never disappoints". 🤦
@@ChrisPage68 oh yea my bad lol
The singer Akane was also in a band with Band-Maid's Akane & Kanami called: Mochi to Cheese
She's pretty and has what it takes to be good front-women of the band.

I suppose you know and like Marty Friedman? Bassist WAKAZAEMON is her tour bassist (and she's presently in studio with him). 'nuff said.

This song slaps, he still needs to see fearless by rolling quartz

And we can say A...KA....NE! Because the lead singer is named Akane.
Seems you will need a bigger wall soon 😂😂
A good problem to have
If you liked this song, you should check Parallel World by Lonesome_Blue (same violinist, same drummer).
Cheers from Chile.
Lovebites meets Lindsey Stirling. It's a good thing.
I also wanted to know what it is about Japanese food that makes the musicians so talented (especially in classical music) and the women so beautiful.!! 😂😂😂
If you like this try on some Unlucky Morpheus. Similar but heavier and harder.🤘🏼🎸🔥🎻🤪🥁🎤🎹🤘🏼
