    Just wanted to thank you so much for good info. Yes it's M20 not M25 but not an issue guys. Just change the mix and calculate by the standard value. Civil Engineer rocks.

    In your calculation for the bags of cement, how did you get the divisor o.0347 ? What is its unit? Is it your magic?

    I think u have to deduct the area of steel from the the gross area of the column.according to ur calculation v=0.27 cu.m is the volume of steel +concrete

      actually u r right...bt it is the basic concrete calculation fr this column...& reinforcement is the minor volume part of the beam

    Good day Engr, Thank you for the lectures, please how do you come about the factors you are using, like the 1.54 factor you use multiply to the wet concrete volume to convert to dry volume, and 1.26 factor you used for the mortar in plaster material calculations. Is there any video you did regarding to these. Please help me with their title so i can search for the video. Thank you

      That is the volume of one 50kg bag of cement.

    When you multiply the quantity with each other it become 270000
    But how you convert it into 0.27 m3

      300x300 is in mm mate. 3 which is the height is in meter.
      Basically the computation is going to be
      0.3m x 0.3m x 3m= 0.27cu.m

      1) Bro, are you not taking into consideration the volume occupied by the steel reinforcement ?
      2) Why did you multiply the value of Wet volume by 1.5 to get a bigger dry concrete value.? wont shrinkage rather reduce the dry concrete volume?
      And how did you come by 1.5 and 1.26 values used in concrete and plaster respectively
      I need your urgent reply

      The volume of the reinforcement is minor, you will see there is no added volume for wastage, nothing is perfect of course, so many variables. There are many videos on you tube explaining wet volume and dry volume
