No. No. No. No. No. No. Use lubricant. Drill all holes to the bottom. Use a hamp aimed over the hole. Keep it close but don't touch the guide with the cutting surface. If not lubricated the plastic bins the but and it jumps around. Then milling is done with the end mill all the way to the marking. Lube. Because the end mill surface in contact with the guide is round and smooth so it does not grind into the guide. You have been doing it the wrong way without any lube! Once the end mill is all the way down to the mark tighten the nut and thread on the left side upper to hold it into place. You've been using one hand to hold the head down. PS- the glue, epoxy, and JB weld can repair all the P80s and guides. About 10% come out right. Thank you for showing us your equipment. But you need to use right!
man i watched this video a couple.. and i was remembering it earlier today and look what automatically came on. these weird youtube algorithm starting to read minds now
You have the same harbor Freight adjustable vice as I have. I made one of the turn handles into an adjustable dial by turning it into a floating one held in position by a spring that fits over the spindle. It works perfectly once I measured just how much ONE complete turn represented in distance.
Stankmouth , this is got to be the best video I’ve seen on this. You have not only inspired me to try to build my own lower but also to make a Video of it.
Nice little set up..mine is much more crude..lol..i got a Sears drill mount adjustment press..its helped..the Dremel did the rest..i cut it bit under to be safe.then the files and sand paper..i busted my ass...your slide vise i need for the next one and a real drill press..i appreciate your run down..be safe..
its great you take your time but theres no reason you cant drill down the material 40 mm especially with a drill press, its not meant for milling doesnt have the proper bearings. its meant to drill straight down. if you are going to mill it must be dont like you said "skimming." but damn just skim the bottom smooth.
This is an excellent video, thank you sir! You're candour is refreshing and it's appreciated! You got a new subscriber, keep up the great content! 😎💯🇺🇸💯😎
good shit son. im gonna do the same shit with mine just buying everything saw your vid ,, thanx for the pro tips just waiting for my 80s to come throw in the mail ... stay up my boy
Lol I'm using a drill and all I did was drill some of the inside in like 3 hours, I'm not tryna make it skeletonized but it's harder than I imagined with how hard I gotta go in

@@stankmouthcharlie Ayo you got the links for everything? I see the vice and drill but that piece hanging ain't got linked can you help a brother out g?
Yes! You hit all the main points. Last night I was fighting to mount the vise to the press because why?! No over hang! The location I have my equipment is limited to space. I definitely will try to find the best spot for me to drill a hole into the base for better mounting. And Im buying a smaller 90 degree umm protractor ASAP. So this video definitely showed me that Im on the right path. Im waiting to see how the customer service is for you know who. Ill give them till Thursday because I know there’s a lot of voting and fighting going on lately. And StankMouth, Im grabbing a P80 standard V2 glock as well. This video was perfect bro THANK YOU!
Good news. I have contacted JMT and the lowers shipped out after. They were busy because of the weekend and Monday being a holiday. So just waiting to have those thangs here at home. Customer service was great. Offered tips and to call if help was needed. Also I asked about the selector switch hole. They said “yes drill all the way through. We have noticed things were accurate and fine after testing and some still flip both sides and drill and still have success. But yes the Gen2 have one hole and we recommend one plunge as long as you’re true and level.” They dont give much shipping info but it is priority mail usps fyi.
Drill press I use amzn.to/2TUXE9t

Guy must work construction. Getter done.

Great!!
ghost rifles or grid defense
use Tennesee arms 80% lowers
Gonna check them out now!! Thanks!!
Tennessee arms are really poor quality. If you like the non metal lowers just stick with the polymer 80 or the jmt gen 2 lower
@@stankmouthcharlie Ayo you got the links for everything? I see the vice and drill but that piece hanging ain't got linked can you help a brother out g?
Tennessee Arms Co
Doing one as we speak without all those tools you have... im triggered as fuck lol. Ill never buy a plastic lower again
That’s cool man. More than likely after I do some poly ones I’ll transition to metals.
Get the proper tools and try again. Its easy once you have the proper setup.
@@stankmouthcharlie i finished it, it works fine but damn. I put a bca 10.5 upper and sbpdw brace on it... man its sweet looking.
@@ooxoo3980 it was a learning experience which will help carry over to the metal ones

Is serial numbers required for home defense ?
Some states vary but in my state we aren't required to have any paperwork or documentation on these "ghost guns"
righttobear.com has polymer lowers i just ordered mine 2 days ago
