What did you think of the robocop reboot? I liked it. You can't really compare it to the original robocop. Kind of like Batman begins compared to Tim Burton's Batman.... You just can't do it.
@@johnhancockretro The WWF Royal Rumble was one of my favorites as a child. I spent countless hours playing it. It had all my favorite wrestlers, Razor Ramon, Diesel, The Undertaker (G.O.A.T), and though many people didn't like him, Papa Shango. I would get a Genesis just to play it again.
@KronnangDunn, Capcom also had a steampunk shooter as well that is worth your time. The name of the game is called Progear and they made the game with CAVE.
Nice showing of Flying Edge games on the Sega Genesis! I have to say, I own a few of the F and D ones! I won't mention them, but I do have a couple of the A ones you mentioned! Good video!
I loved playing Super Smash TV on both the SNES and Genesis, and as crazy as it sounds, I actually liked Spider Man and X-Men on the Genesis. The music in Gambit's level was kick ass, and it's one of those games where I want to see how far I can get without taking too much damage.
The NES/FDS version of Smash T.V. is also surprisingly good. Also, that port of the game allows for four player control, so if you want four NES Advantage controllers to play the game on either an NES FourScore, NES Satellite, or any other third part four-player NES/FDS peripheral, then you could totally do that on there.
Normally, I would be mad at a bot, but at least the person that made that bot actually had something good, thoughtful, and positive to say instead of random spam words or porn, so I will say nothing.
Steel Empire is the best shooter on the system and a favorite of mine. My brother asked me why did I always pick the blimp. Why wouldn't I? To this day, I don't think I ever played as that puny plane for more than a couple minutes
Crash Test Dummies story: I used to watch them every morning before school along with Beast Wars. I think there’s a RUclips video ready to be made out there about how bad the Double Dragon people dropped the ball. In ‘87/‘88, few games were as cool as Double Dragon (if any). It kickstarted an entire genre. The NES Double Dragon was legendary and anyone back then knew someone who owned (if they themselves already didnt). Double Dragon was so huge, in fact, that Sega used it as a marketing tool for the Master System to “play 2 PLAYER Double Dragon only on Sega”. All this happened right before the 16-bit generation; a generation that would be come to be known for beat ‘em ups. So what went wrong? The table was set for Double Dragon to absolutely kill it in the 16-bit era. Yet, it didn’t. Not only did it not, but they were mostly terrible games. How could they have dropped the ball so badly? I think there’s definitely a video to be made here.
Steel Empire was very hard too, sometimes rage quit inducing. However it wasn't unfair, and so good you calmed down, and grabbed your controller again.

Steel Empire is proving to be that one elusive Megadrive cart that I just can't find a copy of. I've only played a few Flying Edge games and that's the only one I like. But I really do like it a lot.
Steel Empire was one of my favorites on the Genesis/MD growing up. I eventually tried the GBA port and it honestly felt like they had watered down the game. Didn't enjoy the music as much either in the port. It has been almost a decade since I tried it though so maybe I ought to give it another shot.
Appreciate the Addams Family love! I prefer the SNES version myself, but they are both great. Underrated games with basically the only negative being the slippery controls as you said.
Agreed with pretty much everything here, although I probably would have ranked Bart vs. The Space Mutants even lower. :P There's a lot of mediocrity in Flying Edge's catalogue, and then all of a sudden you get Steel Empire, an absolute belter of a shoot 'em up. Gorgeous graphics, good amount of depth to the gameplay, it's just a fantastic game. The way it looks kind of reminds me of those very late-era AGA games for the Amiga. It's a great look. Definitely a must-have for your Genesis or Mega Drive. When it came out on the GBA I absolutely HAD to buy it again. Good list. I enjoy these videos a lot.
Spider Man & the X-Men is underrated, in my opinion. It's one of the best 16-bit X-Men games, behind Clone Wars and probably Mutant Apocalypse. The Super NES version is better (as usual), but the Genesis version came out a few months after the SNES so the devs took some feedback from the SNES version and made it a bit easier. I agree with John's B rating here, and I highly recommend it to X-Men fans.
Champions World Class Soccer. Grrr. The UK version had its Ryan Giggs endorsement splashed over the box, and he'd promoted it on TV by saying how realistic it was. The game was developed by Park Place, who had made the first two Sega Madden games as well as Muhammed Ali Boxing, which I really liked. All in all I had reason to have high hopes and I was expecting good things. Then I played it... Oh dear.
I only remember playing Krusty's fun house on the gameboy, but for some reason I don't own it for that system, though I have a megadrive, snes and also the game gear version's which I've never played.
T2 for Sega doesn't deserve the hate it gets. It's nice to hear John give it 'some' credit. It immediately gets two things right: It follows its licensed material very closely, and it isn't a hop and bop platformer. It could have used more polished and at times is overly challenging and cheap; however, it does more right than it does wrong. Relatively speaking, it's not a bad game. Licensed movie game speaking, there is far, far worse out there.

There's a Simpson game that I played in the 90's as a kid in the arcade. Bart had like a skateboard as a weapon, while his mom Marge had a vacuum cleaner as a weapon. It's a beat em up platformer. My question is did they ever port that game over to the SNES. I bought a tablet and I am using it as a NES/SNES/GBA
