How To Make Cinnamon Roll Inspired Lattes At Home (with and without an espresso machine!)

- I thought I’d throw another quarantine latte recipe at you with common household ingredients. I just eyeballed all my ingredient amounts but here’s roughly the recipe I used:
2.5 tsp brown sugar
1.5 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1-2 shots of espresso
8-12oz of whole milk

If you’re like me and don’t have a french press or milk frother, you can do it with a jar! Heat the milk for about a minute, put it in a jar, close the lid and shake vigorously for about a minute. It doesn’t make quite as much foam, but it’ll do if you don’t have the equipment. Hope this is helpful! :)
I appreciate the alternative to an espresso machine, I don’t 500+ to drop at the moment
Sean Martin I don’t either. The DeLonghi EC155 is around $99 and it makes wonderful espresso. Steams milk and all. I did a lot of research before I bought it and this was the overall consensus for the best machine at that price point. You’ll need a burr grinder, the Cuisinart grinder is a good one.

I’ve found that using white chocolate & cinnamon makes a really tasty Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavored coffee or latte!
@@halleyevan5085 I did the same...usually with vanilla to accompany. And I made the white ghiradelli chips into a powder to essentially dust on top!

@@evelynwald9132 A blender worked perfect. Though, I originally used a hand dough mixer to make small pebbles that melted perfectly on the dry cappuccino.
When I can' get my coffee I can always count on Morgan to give me that mental coffee shot. Also I love your name its my sisters name too

Tried it this morning, and it was lovely!! I don't have a french press, so I just shook up some milk in a water bottle but that worked just fine lol. Felt like I was back at a coffee shop again, thanks for the recipe! :)

Quick little tip for your Breville Barista Express - If you want to move the machine on the counters much easier, just put a small towel under the machine and then you can slide it over the counters without having to lift it or push it hard to move it.

Just tried it, I've never tried making steamed milk with a French press but it worked perfectly! Super fun and tasty my dude!!
I made this with a hario v60 and it was really great!! Just mixed the sugar and vanilla in my cup and let the coffee drip onto it then followed the rest of the instructions normally 💖💖 thanks morgan !!

I love adding ground cinnamon (or cardamom) into my coffee grounds before making them in my french press- it makes it even more cinnamony and cozy and delicious!

I never thought I will be a cinnamon fan, it's something I'd never go forward to. But with this whole quarantine situation, it makes me try new stuffs, and thank you Morgan for this amazing recipe. As I am the only coffee drinker in the house, I don't get to buy a lot of expensive coffee assets and I try to work myself with a good hand grinder and french press, maybe sometimes instant coffee.
