I have a patient with chronic recurrent attacks of hypomagnesemia of unknown cause. We have searched for all causes of hypomagnesemia but no clue found. Moreover, the patient lately was admitted to ER due to syncopal seizure-like attack and hypotension. ECG done and showed TORSADES de POINTES !!! We are still perplexed about the cause of this lady's hypomagnesemia . Treatment with K and Mg infusion was successful and the patient was discharged on PO k medication.

New evidence suggesting quicker correction of hypernatremia in elderly is better and no risk (more space in skull vs peds). Higher mortality the longer they are hypernatremic

Hello, for about 8 months I’m really struggling with strange condition, in begging I thought that I have some fungi infection that was causing blocked in all my lymphatic system and my head with extreme pressure and headaches, but after multiple of cleaning my diet, exercise and vitamin supplementation the blocked always was coming back. And about month ago the pressure in my head and body was so big that I had to quit coffe and changing diet completely. With helped me getting my blood pleasure down but what turns out that It’s all fluid is coming back from top of my head, and continues to block my lymphatic system and now it’s leaking under my skin. And what ever I do I can’t stop that fluid from coming out of my head. Doctors I spoke have no idea, I have done blood work, it’s turns out that my cholesterol is high but I don’t think that is connected and causing this leak. Any ideas what it can be ?

I went 10 yrs untreated with primary hyperparathyroidism because docs think Ca in the 10s is a “watch & wait” thing. Not true. Adults should be in the 9s, not 10s. This is per the Hyperparathyroid Clinic in Tampa FL.
