There are a lot of great methods out there for each map but I like doing lava caverns because it often will transition to a long mining upsurge. Plus i just this route since there is a lot of sliding around ^^ Find your favorite route and make it a routine!
Beautiful route i will do this tonight!! Btw i will look for talisman farming guide on your channel and if you haven't I'd really appreciate if you do make it, lovely content as always!
Did you mean to say to wait until end of April instead of the end of August when you referenced how to avoid getting burned out on the content in the base game...?
Hey Gaijin and everyone! I love your farming routes, and I've been actually using this route before you even posted it! That's how good it is 😜 I just wanted to say: it's *much* faster to ride on palamutes if you use the action bar or have a radial menu shortcut set up for "Let Me Ride!". Your hunter will whistle for the palamute, and they'll bark in acknowledgement, so you'll ride them as soon as you're done mining (yes you can whistle for your doggo while you're still in the middle of another action). This makes my runs *much* faster than I thought they would be! Mining and pressing A for a little while is fast, but not as fast as the instant "Let Me Ride!" option! Also, since I have y'alls attention, I have two extra hints that I find help me a lot: 1) Use the detailed map instead of the full map in the corner! If you have "Gatherer" spots highlighted in the full map (press or hold the minus button), then the gathering spots will show up in the detailed map too. I never need shortcuts to know where the ´next mining/gathering nodes are, they appear right there in the detailed map! If you don't know how to pick the detailed map, it's an option in the Settings menu; 2) I almost never need to use 3 wirebugs because I use the Yoshi method constantly. You probably know what I'm talking about, but here's an example of how I do a really long jump: - Ride Palamute off ledge then jump off doggo with B - Press A to hang onto wirebug - dodge forward with B - Aim with ZL + ZR to throw my first wirebug; - repeat from step 2; This gets me *very* far away. In fact, remember that jump you couldn't do without three wirebugs, in the Mining/Fast Zenny route? I make it everytime with distance to spare! And don't worry, your palamute doesn't mind being Yoshi'd. Hopefully I wasn't annoying with this big wall of text, I just hope I was helpful to someone.😄
Gaijin, you mean so much to the MH community. You were the person who taught us how to hunt and all the finer details of the game. Thanks for yet another great video and I hope you and Yuna have a wonderful day. :)
Wow, I actually for one want more expensive options lol. I always end up having too much points and cash to the point where I just try to build all armor sets. I want to feel the need for grinding money again.
It do be like that sometimes. At least he wasn't a smidge away from taking out a gold crown and then failing, that's always the worst feeling after hours of trying to find one.
I love that you take such care when making your videos to make sure that the video is time-efficient and entertaining. Even the chit-chat is very thoughtful and polite. It's rare to see gaming content being so carefully crafted these days, I really appreciate it.
Try slotting in evade extender on your gathering sets. It helps SO MUCH when moving with a wirebug. Edit: what benefits from this is the corkscrew air dodge flipping
Thanks for another video! You're one of my favorites to watch and cant wait to hear more of your adventures. Weeeee!! If you slot in evade extender 3 your double jumps off the wire bugs get crazy distance! It's very fun
Right before you go into the back of the lava caves, The whole you crawl through. There is another node Just to your left that you run right past! So a good one to add to the route without adding hardly anytime!
Thank you for another great video Gaijin Hunter! My wife and I have been making good use of the Zenny farming route from the previous video. It's been a huge help! I also got MH Generations Ultimate yesterday, so your older videos have been super helpful!
This addicting game has indirectly led me to your channel, and I couldn't be happier. I really enjoy your commentary and content. It really is a pleasure to watch these videos. Keep it up, and don't stop those sound effects!
Thank you so much for these awesome videos, Gaijin. I just went from Upsurge Mining to Account Items, and bagged 70k points with your route. Didn't have Dango Points Up, though, but still. Super helpful!
Hey just an update concerning the info from the new Zenny method. The rules work here too. Complete the route and exit before 5 minutes. But also the food doesn't rotate. If you get the Kamura point food skill you can keep it indefinitely. Easy to get 17-19 thousand points a run under 5 minutes.
Thnx friend, your gold farming guide really helped tremendously. And now you even got one for Kamura points! I also like tht bit about the unedited pathing, makes it so easy to follow. Peace, and happy hunting for you and the little one!
Awesome video! Been curious how to get loads of Kamura points for a while now and am glad to see my prayers have been answered. Also, yes, my MH playtime is full of "woosh"es and "pow!"s. It's just cathartic to verbalize the action.
Gaijin, thanks so much for always providing us with such a quality content like tutorials, farming, even sharpness and many more!! i wish u and Yuna have a great time playing this game and all the best to you both!! God Bless
For those looking for a more passive Kamura point farm, you can go fishing in the shrines. Zone 6 in the pond on the right, just under the water fall. It doesn't award near as quickly as this, but it's something for those who want to full brain off.
Thanks gaijin for another great and useful video. Been running the mining video a few times as i learned the route and it's very easy to follow. Happy hunting
Hey gaijin :) I only started playing mh a year ish ago with mhgu on the switch and I'm so thankful for channels like yours that have helped me learn about the game's immense history one day at a time. I'm still so in love with the franchise and have been playing the heck out of rise but was wondering if you could do a video on the various types of endemic life in the game? I know you're making a ton of awesome content already but everytime a friend asks me what those butterflies following the large monsters do I'm at a loss for words lol! Thanks for being cool :)
You did it again! Great video and route. After following along the first time I was able to do it the 2nd time by memory! Also got lucky. Mining upsurge to local and back to mining in the same run.. im set for a while
The other day we did a Lava Caverns run by just chatting and repeatedly moving from Camp 2 to the secret spot, going through several upsurges of different items and came out with 1M+ of Zenny in items and around 100K Kamura points after roughly 30-40 minutes. It's great for when you really just want to do something mindless while chatting, listening to a podcast, etc. So definitely a big thanks for letting us know about this "Coal Run 2.0" :D
This video is great, I have no need of Kamura Points but I appreciate the info. Your zenny video was a lifesaver, though, especially as I try new weapons and try to make new builds. Also heck yeah, a fellow Swaxe main!
re: "Do you guys make sound effects while you play?" Bro, I have been doing callouts, voice over work, sound effects, etc for both video games and just my life, since i was a child. My friends got me into monster hunter last year with the GU switch port. The number of times, a monster died as I announced, "Blood Wind!" in my most epic anime protagonist voice. Or generally, "hup" while jumping or starting a big swing, followed by an almost hylian, "Hyaaa" as I turn that into an aerial slash or finish a big hit animation. To me that's just part of gaming. Nay, part of living.
Im also the tipe of guy that makes noises when playing, but I do my bonks, doots, cuchaus, a little "hell no" every now and then... Its nice to see other people with that kind of mental disorder xD
Really insightful video! I don't know if anyone else has done it already, but I think farming routes for the rare account items needed for Requests would be good for new players
Thank for this video i was doing this so randomly this waste my time and points, and i didn't know there was so much bizmuth ore, this will help a lot till the next update. Take care Gaijin and Yuna. A Hunter frorm France ✌
I actually use a route similar to this too! Learned about it from various sources but basically I go to 2 first, circle around all the spots next to it, do the drop down except I'd drop so I could do it in reverse order, grab one extra point to the south of the camp (dunno how to describe it) then go to camp 1 and do the same route from there that you were doing. Also off to the left at about 6:40 there's actually another spot for points you can grab real quick, so there's all sorts of stuff you can do. I do like this route though because it times it perfectly with the gathering points respawning, which is convenient and gets you to spots as fast as you can. I love that they have stuff like this in this game, it's so convenient to just swim in Kamura points to buy all sorts of good items.
thanks for all the guides! coming back from generations on the 2ds I need all the help I can get!

Got into fishing. Needed every fish for the award and continued doing it on the side watching videos. I’m on 100k now. Feels relaxing and cramps up the playtime to brag about.
Thanks for this guide, I'm just playing this game on PC and it really helps a lot. Also, I watch your farming videos for Zeni that one is really good too. PS: that is a big boy magnamalo right there XD
Yesterday was trying your route and it conected with Mining, then Local again and another Mining... I spend more than and hour arround that map... and got like 100K points and 1.000K zenis... You're routes are AMAZING! Also, when you are arribing at the back of the volcano you have one spot to mine at your left that will give you some extra points.
not trying to be a jerk, but 1000K is literally saying, "a thousand thousand", that's what the word million is for lol. Sorry, I had to comment. Happy Hunting. Also having over 1M zenny is great, but its also easy to spend, when you're making end game armor sets and weapons, you can burn 1M pretty quick.
Thanks for another great resourceful video! No pressure but I am really looking forward to your version of the lance guide. I am 200+ hrs into the game now and just playing around with different weapons but lance is something that doesn't seem to click to for me. I hope I can finally see the light when your guide comes out!
i really love you for the fact that you never go around and say: it is the best route! But alot of other people go around showing your routes and say so... annoing. and you missed a few spots there, walked right past them :D
Love your videos Gaijin, I've been watching them since MH4 and your gentle voice has helped me learn many a new thing. I don't know if you have a plan for this, but if possible, I'd really like to know more about the different types of palicos and palamutes like you did for MHG and MHGU!
hai! im a late player and thanks for this... and hello fellows hunters just sharing from my experience with his route.. its really good source for kamura pts. and while im following this route i managed to find some kamuras farm just by pressing L to zoom in the map so u can see theres some area we can get. overall. its not the best run i did, some little hiccup. i earned 37k at least without the food bonus. thanks for the video!
Thank you for this route, it is a lot of fun to just slide and jump around. really farming seem less of a chore and just good time exploration. i manage to do a full 3 time with only 1 spot miss because i wirebug like an idiot and miss the first bone spot on the third tour of my first run, for a big'ol 43k.
Oh boy. Got the Dango Calculator and managed to get Local Item upsurge naturally while in the quest and by the time the upsurge finally ended I got about 86k points. Amazing guide!
Thank you for sharing this method. Just did a run where the locale swapped from account items to mining outcrops 4 times. Made 100,243 kamura points and 1,314,840 zenny (I keep 30 or so of each of the 4 ores when I sell them).
Hey GH, there's another easy source of points that requires almost 0 effort at the Lava Caverns. The fishing spot directly by the main camp on the left when you start heading out has an infinitely spawning Brocade fish that gives almost 300 points per fish at high rank. It cycles between a larger variant worth like 500 points I believe (can't remember exactly) and smaller ones that give like 289 points and which can be caught multiple at once sometimes. I've done this multiple times and it works every time and it probably gives even more during upsurges of local items and I haven't actually tried it during one yet.
Nice run. I do similar. FYI, you miss a really easy gathering spot on your run from 16 to 11. You can see it just under your pet health bars at 6:42. Not sure if you do this intentionally or not, but just throwing it out there.
Considering the spots respawning pretty much the second you reach them again, I'd say this is a pretty perfect route! BTW, I've noticed that, when getting close to these small tunnels you have to crawl through, if you run up to it on your Palamute while holding R, quickly let go of R, then press B to get off the doggo (still hold up on the stick of course) the hunter can slide through some of them. Worked for me in the Flooded Forest and the Frost Islands, but unfortunately not in the Lava Caverns.
Thank you much for this video it's amazing I only have one criticism for the video and it's that you kept missing a volatile coal outcrop that was on your path. It's on the left just before the secret path to the volcano caldera
Your routes are really something, I just had the most ridiculous farming run. Went in with mining upsurge, after that was over the map changed to local object upsurge and after that it went back to mining upsurge again! After a total of 16 laps of the respective routes, I went home with 75k Kamura Points and 1.58 Million Zenny :D
There is even a few scorched ores directly in that route you missed and you can max out honey every pass, it’s also very easy to learn this route. Thanks for that! Made 38000 in 3 passes with the calculator dango buff
There is a path in shrine ruins as well. Get the bamboo shoot and berries near base camp, grab the berries to the far east of the water hole. Then the two bamboo shoots in the mid map. Then go get all the mushrooms (use wire bug to get on top of house and work top down.) Then head east to berry and bamboo. Portal to base camp 1 and then do the berry cycle route. Once done everything will respawning and repeat. I average 40k points and sometimes shrine is up but caverns is not.
Hey bro can u make a video on what materials to use for making charms ? Also I love your videos man I’ve been a fan for years u helped me with tons of tips and guides, and I love the fact that you and your daughter plays the game together, I recently got my girlfriend and sister into the game so it’s been an awesome experience, hope to see a lot more videos from you!
half unrelated tip. I find it much more efficient to mount the doggy with the directional button "let me ride". its faster, and if you happen to screwup the mount animation with a jump or something the dog will still pick you up, as opposed to pressing A, then they'll abort the mounting.
Quick Note: Dango Calculator is 20% Kamura Points to my knowledge, not 50% (Unless there's an upgrade to it from later quests). Mostly just wanted to say that because it might make the title a bit misleading if i'm not incorrect, though I believe 50k is still achievable in theory? Either way, solid vid!
I just fish in the lava caverns. There is an endless supply of goldfreys. Every time you catch one a new one appears. That's 500z every few seconds. I make at least 100k every time I go do it, which is every few days. Another plus is no route to learn or any time limit. Also when fishing is upsurge each catch is 3 goldfreys, but that's not required. Its to the right of section 7. You need to wire up the wall and go down. A bonepile is next to it. Its in a kind of hidden area the only reason to go back there is fish and get the bones. Nothing else back there
gaijin hunter: No spoilers in my videos Also gaijin hunter: Here's what the rare endemic life is and where you can find it. I know it's not that big of a spoiler compared to new monsters or events, but I still wanted to find that out on my own lol
@@auditionko Hey did I watch a "Rare Endemic Life And Where To Find Them" video or did I watch a "How To Make Kamura Points" video? And again its not a big deal, in not disliking the video or unsubscribing. I just think if you're going so far to avoid spoilers that you won't even show the loading screens then you should be consistent and not spoil other parts of the game as well.
Hey Gaijin, very excited for your new weapon guides. I really enjoy them because sometimes you like to add little info graphics. For your SnS tutorial, I hope you will let Yuna say "shoooryugeki!" again. I thought it was pretty cute the first time. I appreciate the time you take to make these videos because I know this isn't your day job.
I use a similar route, at the big cave with the lava pool (before the small tunnel marked by the green spiribird) there's actually another fire rock node you can get! It's right at the start of the tunnel, you can get it along the way no problem without deviating from the route!
I have gone back and started a new character on 3U while I wait for the update. I wouldn't say I'm tired of the game yet, I just don't wanna risk burn out when there is new content and bug fixes just around the corner. It's interesting how simple the weapon movesets are compared to Rise, and to think that they were even less complex in games further back than 3U. The game sure has evolved quite a bit over the years, while mostly maintaining the same core gameplay loop.
Omg did I say August?! Lol I meant April
@@gaijinhunter Thanks for the clarification 🙂
Hey Gaijin and everyone! I love your farming routes, and I've been actually using this route before you even posted it! That's how good it is 😜

Yeah, Gaijin and Azrekz have always been such a great help for MH games.
He is the same person who "might" have made Monster Hunter Cross localized a reality, but yeah, your words are super true.
Salutations from Mexico my friend
Without this guy man how bad i could have been in mh games, following this guy frm MHFU days
Gaijin is that kid in class that knows all the answers but still slides you a note helping you to pass.
Thanks for this. One thing I'm learning is that living in Kamura is not cheap LOL. I'm always coming up short on Kamura Points and Zenny.
It's like Hawaii, everything has to be flown in so there is a premium. Sure is nice though.
Yea finishing one build always left me on 1-2k zenny 😔
first time i ran out of money i went and found a good farm and made 10m zenny and 1m points i dont like runnin out took a while but worth!
I never know what to to with kamura points. Been sitting on several 100k for a long time.

You making your own sound effects is actually adorable
Try slotting in evade extender on your gathering sets. It helps SO MUCH when moving with a wirebug.

Wait... evade extender affects wirebugs?!
@@JoshuaBailey if I had to guess it probably affects the air dodge you do after jumping with the bug
@@JoshuaBailey not wirebugs, but the evade afterwards gets effected, so you can zoom
Ah. That makes a lot of sense. I feel kind of dumb now. Lol Thanks for the tips though!
I do it with duel blades you legit are faster than a palamute with evade extender 3
Around 2:32 I think you go right past an outcrop that fits along the route almost perfectly.
I was about to say the same thing
Agreed. There is another scorched ore on your left as you're on your way to the hidden volcano cave.
Haha idk how he missed that if we all saw it XD great content nonetheless

GAINJIN HUNTER, BACK AT IT AGAIN! Making us better hunter one spoonful of knowledge at a time
Yesterday was trying your route and it conected with Mining, then Local again and another Mining...
Yaaayyyy as always your videos are always appreciated.
Thank you so much Gaijin, I need a lot of Kamura Points for Gloamgrass buds.
I never have enough of those things.
Nice! And I'd love to hear your thoughts on possible upcoming monsters. Since I saw Basarios' move, I'm pretty sure Ukanlos is watching us. ;)
Perfect choice for the SA buddy! Love that one.
Thanks for awsome videos on MH Rise
The value and succinctness of Gaijin's videos are unmatched.
Gajin out here doing the real MHR content creator work, fixing our damn economy, bless.
I like your pathing the best for resource runs so far.
THANK YOU, this is exactly what I needed exactly when I needed it
Thanks for making a video of this! Max points I got with the Kamura dango is 62k.
half unrelated tip. I find it much more efficient to mount the doggy with the directional button "let me ride". its faster, and if you happen to screwup the mount animation with a jump or something the dog will still pick you up, as opposed to pressing A, then they'll abort the mounting.
There's a Michael Winslow in everyone. 👍
I make sound effects for everything when I'm in a good mood. And hunting monsters always puts me in a good mood.
The first time I discovered the inside of the volcano it blew my mind! the map design and exploration in this game is amazing.
Nothing else back there
Gaijin back with the useful videos!
To answer the making silly noise question, not always but often enough.
gaijin hunter: No spoilers in my videos
Also gaijin hunter: Here's what the rare endemic life is and where you can find it.
I know it's not that big of a spoiler compared to new monsters or events, but I still wanted to find that out on my own lol

Hey did I watch a "Rare Endemic Life And Where To Find Them" video or did I watch a "How To Make Kamura Points" video?
And again its not a big deal, in not disliking the video or unsubscribing. I just think if you're going so far to avoid spoilers that you won't even show the loading screens then you should be consistent and not spoil other parts of the game as well.
Not gonna lie, the unlimited Steak and Dango Tickets is the part that blew my mind the most about this
Hey Gaijin, very excited for your new weapon guides.
"Hunting for fun" huh i never thought about it like that
The Bob Ross of hunting .. Gaijin the Happy Hunter :)
This is the first I've ever been this early. Hi!
All that want a gaijin audiobook say amen
That mining video saved my zenny wallet exited to watch this after work
Still don't have the game, but here to show you some love and bank the knowledge.
i was just leisurely collecting account items and i earn 7k, your route will surely help me out especially with the never ending grind for talisman xD
oooooo this WILL come in handy!! Thank you!!
