Made this skirt in Kona espresso brown for my Vanellope VonSchweetz costume for Halloween and your video made it really simple! It fit my needs perfectly and turned out quite nicely, plus it was significantly better than anything I could find in the stores. Thanks a lot!

I so adore your chanel, your content is amazing!! however, I had a slight problem with this tutorial. the difference of size between my hips and waist is biggers than yours, being my hip wider so when i sewed the pleats staright into the fabric and trie it on, it looked hideous!! the sewing at the pleats didnt let me pull the skirt down past my waist so i was left with an almost 10 cm waistband xD However I'll try doing what you did in the tennis skirt tutorial, moving the pleats a little to create more room for the hips. I have my hips much wider than my waist and I was like "but then how the skirt pass through my hips???", lol I think that if we're doing this project with wider hips, maybe the width of the skirt should match our hip measurement, and not the waist. Also - I think the length of the skirt might need to be a little longer as well. Thank you for your input! It surely helped me!

It's quite a lovely skirt, but to all who are actually making it, do not bother if you have any sort of hips or curves. I have a very small waist and big hips, and the skirts build made it impossible for me to put it on. Besides that it was a amazing craft and was very fun. Good luck sewing everyone!

I think that the amount of fabric that you need depends on your waist measurement, how many pleats you want, and whether you are going to make it double layered or not.

Karaa yeah if you do only one layer it would be a regular knife pleated skirt! but be careful of the fabric you choose bc it could be see through

4cm×3=12のところを、5cm×3=15にしたいと思っています。ウエスト半周32cm÷8=4cmのところが合わなくなってしまい悩んでいます。

I believe they should which is why you are supposed to sew down the pleats about 6cm so that it stays!
