In this video I am piping up a radiator valve. We first fixed the radiator tails first in behind the wall in a very old cottage with lime render walls.
The radiator was hung and valve tails made in. In the video I’m showing how to cut your tails and install the radiator valve.
I had the laser out while hanging all 3 radiators in the same room so I moved it in front of the radiator valve so I could get it level.
Simply fit the valve loose and measure for center of pipe. Hover up a fitting to the center to get your distance for pipe and fitting.
Put the fitting with pipe with valve onto the tail and solder up. Make sure the valves in the open position with no head on and with small heat it won’t damage the internals as all the heat enters the radiator.
Please enjoy, like and subscribe will very help the channel. Many thanks for you watching my videos and I appreciate every one of you.

Never used a laser in all my many many years as a heating engineer. Never had any problems lining stuff up.

Laser is a bit overkill in this job. It's that feeling when you get a new tool that's exciting and you just can't wait to use it so you end up using it where you didn't really need it. Seriously, guy was just throwing on a 90. Did not need lasers for that, but they're his new $300 lasers!!

The laser is a bit much i agree i would be more concerned about soldering the elbow with the valve in place would the heat not do damage to the valve.

I am concerned about the positioning of the thermostat since it shouldnt be positioned that way.
Also the heat will damage the valve, id have rather used ProPress.

If you're running copper pipe through lime, whether it's plaster, render, or mortar, you must use sleeving such as PVC pipe, as the lime is so alkaline it will corrode the copper causing premature failure.

@@mmplumber tape isn't sufficient, unless it's something specifically for this use, which I am not aware of. The alkalinity plus moisture will break down the tape.

Les radiateurs s'alimentent par le haut et les retours sont en bas.
Et ceci est pour une bonne convection du radiateur, l'air qui passe entre le radiateur monte naturellement.
Les robinets thermostatiques se montent sur le départ.

Bit over the top using a laser isn't it ? If you can't do a simple job like that you might be better of working for Mac Donalds. Iv'e worked on new builds where you have to have all your rads hung and piped up by dinnertime to earn a days pay.

@MJ-ce6tv I just did a remodel at an old university dorm converting to low income housing that had 4" welded schedule 40 steel heating supply and return as well as a pair of 4" steel lines for the chiller, supply and returns... welded up to weld o lets for the 1½" and smaller runs to each fan coil... Brass flowsets and some with zone valves on all 4 heat and chill lines....
And I never took my laser inside.. got the nice Milwaukee m18 laser but I'm not shooting videos to impress anyone on RUclips. ..
Not that it is a bad idea... People love lasers.. check StyroPyro here on RUclips if you're a fan of lasers too. You won't be disappointed
