오늘은 상암동 디지털 미디어 시티 주변을 걸었습니다. 디지털 미디어 시티는 디지털 미디어 시티역과 월드컵 경기장역을 끼고 있는 서울 서북지역 미디어 산업의 중심지 입니다. 오늘은 미디어 디지털 미디어 시티역(이하 DMC역) 바로 다음 정거장인 증산역에서 내려서 머지않아 새 아파트로 탈바꿈하게될 증산 4, 5 구역을 잠깐 둘러보고 이미 개발이 완성된 수색 증산 뉴타운의 새아파트 앞을 지나 미디어 시티 중심부를 거쳐 DMC역으로 돌아오는 경로입니다.
DMC역은 은평구, 서대문구, 마포구가 경계를 이루고 있는 지점에 위치해 있는데 그중 월드컵경기장과 DMC 상업 업무 시설이 있는 곳은 마포구 상암동입니다. 상암동은 예전에 쓰레기 매립지였던 흥미로운 역사를 가진 곳으로 2000년대 초 대규모 아파트 단지와 첨단 미디어 산업의 중심지로 개발하기 시작한 이후로 지속적인 발전을 거듭하고 있습니다. 바로 인근에 위치한 수색동, 증산동에도 2~3년전부터 새아파트가 들어서면서 이지역은 DMC역의 편리한 교통과 기존의 인프라를 바로 이용할수 있는 떠오르는 주거지로 각광받고 있습니다
Today, I took a stroll around Sangam-dong's Digital Media City. Situated in the northwestern region of Seoul, Digital Media City serves as the hub for the media industry, nestled between Digital Media City Station and World Cup Stadium Station.
Starting from Jeungsan Station, I ventured into the upcoming Jeungsan 4 and 5 districts, where new apartment complexes are set to transform the landscape. I then passed through the already-developed Susaek-Jeungsan Newtown and made my way through the heart of Digital Media City back to DMC Station.
Situated in Sangam-dong within Mapo-gu, DMC Station is at the crossroads of Eunpyeong-gu, Seodaemun-gu, and Mapo-gu. It's in close proximity to the expansive World Cup Stadium and the sprawling park stretching along the scenic banks of the Han River. Sangam-dong has an intriguing history, once serving as a landfill site. Since the early 2000s, it has evolved into a major residential area with large-scale apartment complexes and a thriving center for advanced media industries. Nearby neighborhoods such as Susaek-dong and Jeungsan-dong have also gained popularity as emerging residential areas, with new apartment buildings springing up over the past 2-3 years.
