Shanghai has very big coffee culture.. in fact all cities in China has massive coffee culture beside their traditional tea.. the French concession area in Shanghai is full of boutique coffee shops and cafés with the best patisserie in the world.. why are you trying to make shanghai look backward perhaps.. don't speak too soon..
@@FeedingFoca Shanghai has most coffee shops in the world. There are around 10000 coffee shops in the city. Coffee become more popular in China. Luckin Coffe offers good coffee for a good price, but the best Chinese coffee chain is "M Stand", but it´s expensive.

I haven't seen any nice, local cafes in Shanghai or Beijing. So, I have just shared my experience. Happy to get some recommendations 😊
